"Their younger siblings are going to be the same age!" Eileen squealed.

Massimo surged to his feet in a flawlessly smooth movement. "Is there something to celebrate, cara?"

I put a hand on my stomach. "I just used a

test yesterday but..." I gestured at Eileen. "It seems that Lina and Chiara will have younger siblings soon."

I squeaked as Massimo pulled me out of the chair and sealed our mouths together. We broke apart after a second, mindful of our audience, but there was fire in his eyes that told me that I would pay for not telling him first. I didn't mind. The last time he'd tied to me to the bed, it was for several hours of our mutual pleasure.

Sam came and kissed the top of Eileen's head. "Great news," he said.

Lina started screaming. She'd spilled her bowl of ice cream soup. It was now sinking into my nice carpet. I wiggled out of Massimo's hold and raced to get paper towel to soak up the mess. Kneeling on the ground might not have seemed like the most glamorous job, but it was the best one in the world. Being her mother and having friends and family surround us meant more than any palace.
