“There’s no need to put anything into words. For once, just enjoy the feelings, the emotions, and the pleasure,” I whisper. “And when it’s all over, you’ll feel renewed. Like a different person. And that’s why we do what we do.” I glance at Lycan as he walks back into the room, his eyes taking in the closeness of his wife and me. “That’s why we enjoy the darkness.”
“Because the truth is always hidden in the shadows,” Lycan finishes for me.
I step back, and allow him to lift her into his arms, and I happily follow for the grand finale.
