It was forbidden.

Every glance.
Every touch.
Every burning, steal your breath, curl your toes, get lost in each other’s eyes moment, was doomed from the start.

We stole them anyway.

I hoped that he’d choose me.
That despite everything stacked against us, what we had together would win.

It didn’t.

So I left, determined to bury it all in the past, to forge on without him, without everything I’ve ever wanted.

Until the day the past saunters back into my life, tattooed, and gorgeous, and wearing a familiar smirk that could scramble minds and melt panties.

It’s obvious what he’s here for.

But he didn’t choose me back then so how can he hope that I’ll choose him now.
