“Like run away with a prince?” Liam interrupted to say, making me laugh.

That’s what I was starting to love about him. He was so much fun. He wasn’t as stuffy like you would imagine a prince being, he was irreverent and childish.

“Yes, it’s not every day your daughter runs away with a prince,” I flashed him a flirty smile, my stomach all tangled in knots.

“Well, I can name a few who have… Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty from Beauty and the Beast, but that was more of abduction wasn’t it?” He was about to continue.

“You know way too much about Disney Princesses, should I be worried?” It was a little odd.

“I have two cousins who I grew up with that were obsessed with them. Being the slightest bit older than me, I was subjected to watching movies with them and conveniently being their prince when they were playacting. So rightly, I know too much about Disney Princesses,” he laughed.

“It’s kind of disturbing,” I joked.

“As it should be.” His smile was sweet.

Despite all the assurances he’d given me, I still felt like I was freefalling off a cliff. I just kept holding onto the idea that I would be having a child soon and that Liam and I would have time to get to know each other and there was a handy exit clause in case things didn’t work out. Though I knew we were entering a contract with one another, I secretly was hoping for more. I wanted the happily ever after and I was willing to take risks, make sacrifices, and do whatever it took within reason and without compromising myself, to be his wife. With this newfound determination, I turned to him with genuine care and affection.

“Thank you, Liam,” I said, my face heating with love and adoration.

“For what?” He played at not knowing what I meant.

“For this,” I spread my arms out in the limo. “And for… I don’t know…” I didn’t want to give too much away.

“Riding in on my white horse to whisk you away from Manhattan?” His flirtatious grin was irresistible as he reached out his arm and brought me in closer. “You’re welcome.”

With that, he leaned in and kissed me opening his mouth to allow me in. He felt right. I relaxed into his arms as his free hand glided under my skirt and his fingers dipped into my panties. I broke our kiss to protest.

“If you do that,” I whispered. “You’re going to make me too crazy to get on the plane.” I bit his earlobe surprising him as much as his wayward fingers had surprised me.

He turned his head to whisper back at me. “It’s my private jet.” One finger dove gently into my wet center as he placed a hot kiss on my earlobe. “And I always finish what I start.” With that, his finger pressed into me harder.

“You’re terrible,” I reprimanded.

“Oh, I hope not.” He feigned insult. “Please allow me the chance to prove to you I am not at all terrible…” as the second finger joined the first. “…in bed.” He whispered as he slowly pumped his fingers in and out of me, allowing his thumb to rock my clit until it hardened into a painful little nub that wanted nothing more than hard, fast fucking.

“You better be ready to take me as soon as we get a chance… I won’t be able to take much more of this,” I barely breathed as fire ignited every nerve in my body.

“Oh, I promise, that’s exactly what I have planned.”

I was so aroused I could barely walk as we boarded a sleek private jet that sat running on the tarmac. Everyone was familiar with Liam and kind and lighthearted with me. We didn’t have to go through customs or any of the commercial airport procedures. Everything was handled privately. A steward met us at the limo and took my bags and Liam and I were escorted from the car to the plane. Once onboard, we were greeted by a handsome male attendant and James, Liam’s butler.

“You’ve made it here in good time,” James announced as soon as we arrived. “All has been cleared for our take off. Hello, Ms. Johnson.” James bowed to me. “I’m glad you’ve decided to join us.”

I felt, for a moment like I’d fallen into one of those movies of the week where a regular person ends up marrying a prince. I then laughed inwardly, which ended up being more out loud than I had wanted it to be.

“Are you okay?” Liam looked surprised.

“Fine, I’m just fine. Thank you, James. I’m so glad to be here.” Both of their faces relaxed at the same time though I don’t think they knew it.

“We won’t want to be disturbed during the flight. When we want refreshments, I’ll let you know.” Liam’s demeanor had changed suddenly.
