“What are you going to do if I need my woman? You know I’m going to take you. Even if you’re half asleep, whimpering like you do. It only excites me more.” His cock leaves me, and I know it’s time to get up and shower.

“Fine, but at least let me go back to sleep after. None of that ‘seize the day, let’s eat breakfast at the crack of dawn’ stuff,” I ask.

“Sure, I’ll let you sleep in.” He rolls out of bed. His firm body calls to me again, and I came only minutes ago.

“Come on, firecracker. It’s time to shower and get some shuteye. It’s not always me who wakes you up in the morning.” He holds his hand out for me.

“Whatever, it’s not my fault your cock stands at attention in the most random of times. It’s like ‘Hey, I’m here, ready for action’ and you can’t deny that either.” I take his hand as he leads me into the shower.

“You love me though.”

“I do love you, more than anything.” He starts the shower, making sure it’s nice and hot before I step in. He often jokes that I like to burn my skin off, yet he has no problem getting in the shower with me.

Drake’s arms wrap around me after we step inside. I rest my head on his shoulder, thinking about how lucky we both were to find one another. Have three healthy boys, Corbyn, Zander, and Owen. At first, we thought we’d have four children, but each pregnancy got harder and harder. It was Drake’s foot that went down when he said our family was big enough. He didn’t want me to be sick non-stop, and even though we didn’t get a little girl in the end, we were okay with that too.

The End

Bonus Scene

“My baby sister is off limits. Be sure to tell Braxton that,” Bridger says, pounding mad. This was Giana’s idea. So far, it’s shaping up to be a bundle of fucking joy. As if I were blind to what Braxton was doing. Hell, everyone could see the heated looks he was giving to Rowen. What Bridger wasn’t seeing was the cat and mouse game she was playing right back.

“Huh, wasn’t it not too long ago when you broke up a fight similar to the one you’re trying to start?”

“She’s still young, man.” He fists his hair. I get it. I really do, but my brother is not a fuck-up. He’s dedicated to his shop. In fact, it’s in the black. He doesn’t screw around. Hell, I’m not sure I’ve seen him with a girlfriend in more years than I can count.

“That’s your bridge to burn, but I’ll stand behind it one hundred percent. This way, at least we’ll really be family,” I joke with him.

“Yeah, I guess you’re right. It’s still a hard pill to swallow.”

“What are you two grousing about?” Slade comes up beside us while I’m manning the grill.

“This bone head trying to act like Travis or some shit,” I grunt.

“It’s not worth it, man. It drove a wedge between them that took months to iron out and a whole lot of desserts.” Slade takes a sip of his beer.

“I guess you’re both right. I’ll cool it down. A notch or two, but if he fucks up, all bets are off.”

“Oh, fuck off with that shit,” Travis chimes in. I swear Giana is not wrong. When all of us men get together, it’s like we’ve grown vaginas and talk like women.

“Oh goodie, I’m here just in time. Catch me up.” Easton comes up handing me a glass of bourbon. “Giana said it looked like you needed it.”

“She’s not wrong. You might want to give your sister the same warning, Bridge. Seems like she’s the one chasing Brax.” I nod my head over to the picnic table Braxton is sitting at by himself. He’s got a bottle of water in his hand and is nodding his head in agreement to whatever Rowen is saying. He must be going back to work after we eat, or he’d have a beer in his hand instead of water.

I turn away from the cackling hens, hand the tongs off to Easton.

“Where are you going? I don’t want to do this shit,” Easton mouths off.

“Going to get my woman. I’m not hanging out with the gossip crowd.” I get sidetracked by Rowen herself. Looking around, I see the guys are all staring at the grill as if it holds all the secrets on how not to fuck it up.

“Drake, can I, uh, ask you a question?” She’s tugging at the end of her shirt.

“Sure, what can I help you with?” I take another sip of my smoked bourbon.

“Can you keep Bridger from blowing a gasket? I know that’s asking a lot, but I really don’t want any drama.”
