Nathan clears his throat. “Lacy, ever since I first met you, I knew there was something special about you.”
Derek speaks next. “Nathan and Ash told us about meeting you, and when you came to work at our office, it seemed like things were meant to be.”
Landon takes my hand. “You’re fun and funny, smart and beautiful, and we all think you’re the perfect match for us.”
Ash pulls a small box from his pocket and opens it, revealing a diamond ring a million times more stunning than the sky. My heart pounds in my chest as my breath catches. “We’d like to ask you to marry us, and while that may not be exactly possible, we are asking you to be with us forever.”
“Be ours, and we’ll be yours,” Nathan says.
Landon gestures around us. “We bought this land. We’re going to build a big house here, and we’d like you to live in it with us.”
“Let’s make a home together and start a family together,” Derek says.
Tears are falling from my eyes uncontrollably but I’m barely aware of them. I’m floating and my heart is about to burst from my chest, so filled with happiness that it can’t be contained.
“Yes! Yes!” I tell them, looking from one to the other, unable to believe that this is really happening. Unable to believe that these men who I thought I’d just have a quick fling with are now asking me to spend the rest of my life with them.
They stand and surround me in that wonderful way they do, their arms wrapping around me, holding me, making me feel safe and cherished. They tell me how much they love me and I tell them how I feel the same about them.
For quite a while, I’ve been thinking of them as my men, but now they’ll well and truly be mine. Forever. And I’ll be theirs. All of us, together.
