Natalie groans. Cara rolls her eyes, and they start chatting between themselves. Decker suggests we all move to a table to sit down, while I buy everyone another round of drinks.
“You can see why I tried to take her home last night,” my brother says into my ear, and normally I would laugh it off. But for some reason, tonight it annoys me.
But for the record, yeah, I do.
She’s an attractive woman—green eyes, beautiful face.
She’s classy, and she has an attitude to her.
I like that.
She turns to me suddenly and clears her throat. “I just want to say that I’m sorry about before. I thought you were...well, you know.”
Damn, and she knows how to apologize.
One in a fucking million.
“I know.” I smirk. “It happens a lot, don’t worry.”
She smiles, and it hits me right in the chest. “Well, now that I’ve met both of you, I’d definitely be able to tell you both apart. Your eyes are blue, his are green, and his hair is lighter than yours. You also have different auras about you.”
“Aura?” I don’t believe in all that shit, but I don’t care what she’s talking about. I’m too distracted by her full lips. What is wrong with me? I’m like a teenage boy all of a sudden.
“Yeah,” she replies, staring at me, but turns back to Cara when she says something.
I notice Aries studying me, just a little too closely, and I know he can sense my interest. No one knows me better than my brother does.
“You going to drink this?” he asks, smirking at my untouched beer.
I pick up the cold glass and take a sip. I want to ask him what happened when he met her, but I’ll wait until we’re alone.
“How’s the garage going?” Decker asks, referring to Fast & Fury, the custom motorcycle business that Aries and I manage. The business is owned by our motorcycle club, the Knights of Fury.
“Really well. We’re actually booked out a year in advance now,” I say proudly.
Natalie gives me her attention once more. “We’ve been on that list for months now. We ordered a new bike for our dad’s birthday.”
I nod. “Yeah, I remember seeing Rake’s name on there. It’ll be ready soon, right?”
“Next week,” she replies, playing with her hair. Unlike Cara’s long hair, Natty has hers cut above her shoulders, dead straight, and it looks professional as fuck and extremely sexy.
“So, are you coming in to pick it up then?” I ask casually, ignoring Aries’s stupid knowing grin. I don’t know how much of a chance I have with her, since she turned my brother down, but I figure it’s worth the try.
Is it a good idea, knowing who she is?
Fuck no.
Decker isn’t technically a biker and has saved Cara more than once, so I think he earned Rake’s respect early on. But I doubt the infamous Rake wants a biker, much less a Knights of Fury biker, to date his youngest daughter. The Wind Dragons are friends of the Knights, and I don’t need to cause any trouble there. Temper, my president, would fucking kill me.
Plus, Cara and Decker are my friends, and I don’t want to jeopardize that in any way. But there is something about her.
It makes her a bit forbidden, and fuck, I’ve always loved a good challenge.
And we all know that forbidden fruit always tastes better.
“Yeah, actually I am. I’m going to ride it back to the clubhouse to surprise him with it,” she replies, rubbing her hands together in excitement, her green eyes lighting up.
My eyes widen in surprise. “You’re going to ride it?”
