“Okay, that’s enough out of you. I went out for a drink with Cole, and Atlas showed up and it just went from there.”

“Okay, tell me everything from the beginning.”

I don’t tell her everything. I’m not ready to share that I’ve slept with Atlas just yet.

But I give her a rundown, skipping that part, and after she goes on a rant about Cole, she calms and focuses on Atlas, during which she can’t stop smiling. “I like him, and I think you two would be so cute together.”

“Everyone likes him. Rhett and Dad didn’t even threaten him. Maybe they’re all hoping someone will take me off their hands,” I reply in a dry tone.

“We’re not little anymore, and I think everyone knows you can handle yourself,” she replies, smirking. “Although I might have said a few words to him anyway.”

But that’s the thing about bikers, right?

They don’t scare easily.

Chapter Ten

Atlas

“How the hell did you get her to go on a date with you?” Con asks me, and I’m slightly offended by the surprise in her tone. “And it all happened in a span of, what? A few days? A week? Damn, Atlas. I underestimated you.”

Aries is quiet next to me, but I can literally feel the amusement coming off him in waves. We’re all sitting in the back-office area of Fast & Fury.

“Well, don’t make the mistake of underestimating me again,” I tease.

“I’m serious. Natty is tough as nails,” Con mutters, brown eyes widening. She sits down on her desk and crosses her arms. “I know I was a little intimidated when I met her. Being a lawyer is the perfect job for her, because she’s a savage.”

From what I’ve noticed about Natalie, there’s a whole different side to her that apparently not many people get to see, and I love that she’s slowly showing me that side of her already.

Con’s phone starts ringing and she instantly answers it.

Aries bends toward my ear so only I can hear him. “Give me the 411 here. How’d you managed to swing that?”

“Guess I’m just the better-looking twin,” I say, and then wiggle my eyebrows.

“You little shit,” he says with a laugh.

“It’s just a first date,” I say, shrugging. “This could be our one and only date.”

But I don’t believe that. We have something.

She doesn’t know it yet, but I’m going to make her change her mind on bikers. I can wear a fucking suit in the bedroom for her if she likes.

But I have a feeling she’ll get used to the leather.

She hasn’t been with a man like me before, and I can promise her that.

“Better play your cards right, then,” Aries says, slapping me on the back.

“Thanks, Aries. You know what? We should plan a road trip. Remember we used to always talk about doing that on our bikes?” I ask.

He nods. “Yeah, bro, I haven’t been outside of Southern California our entire life. I need to see the sights. Take in the culture.”

I grin. Having a twin is different from having a sibling. Aries and I have always had each other—we’ve never known a life without being together, right from the womb to now. We’re womb mates. But we’re also brothers and best friends. The bond we have is a strong one, and he knows me like no other. Sometimes I don’t even have to say what I’m thinking, because he knows. He knows everything. So he’s basically an extension of me, and it would be important to me that he and Natalie get along and like each other.

Because if this works out, they will be seeing a lot of each other.

Con rubs her pregnant belly and joins us again. “That was Rhett. He was just checking in on us. I don’t know why he’s so paranoid.”
