“Is something wrong with your room?” I ask, concerned. She’s supposed to be bunking with Sarah. Sharing a bed isn’t ideal, I’m sure, but it’s better than sleeping on a cold couch.

“Sarah wants the bed to herself. She said she can’t sleep with someone else in the room, so I told her I’d sleep out here.”

I’m immediately irritated, but I keep my feelings to myself. “Well, it will be far too cold for you to sleep out here. C’mon, follow me.” I don’t wait to see if she’ll follow, I just walk down the hall to my own room.

Jess follows quietly, but she gasps when we enter my room, apparently only just realizing where I was guiding her.

“You can sleep in here. I’ll grab one of my thermal bed rolls and sleep on the couch,” I tell her.

“Oh, no! You can’t do that. I can’t take your bed from you. Besides, you’re too big for the couch, your feet will hang off the end. I can take the bedroll.”

She isn’t wrong, I’m far too large for the couch. But even with the bedroll, she’d still be too cold. She isn’t used to these temperatures like I am, and I tell her so.

Jess bites her lip again, and I wonder how it would feel to replace her teeth with my own. It takes me a moment to realize she’s talking to me.

“We can share your bed. It’s huge, there’s plenty of space. I can put the bedroll under the comforter and sleep in that, can’t I?”

“You can, but you don’t have to. The blankets and comforter will be plenty warm.” Jess’s cheeks heat. She’s clearly nervous, and it dawns on me that she is worried about the awkwardness of the two of us sharing a bed. “Look, a bedroll under the blankets would be too hot, I think. If you’re uncomfortable, I can sleep on top of the sheet. Like you said, the bed is huge. We’ll have plenty of space; I won’t touch you,”no matter how much I want to.

She thinks for a moment, then shakes her head. “No, it’s fine. I’m being silly. We can sleep in the bed normally; there’s plenty of room.”

I go to the bathroom to change, and when I return, Jess has already settled on one side of the bed. I smile when I see that she’s chosen the side I don’t typically use.

As I climb under the covers, she moves and turns her back to me as I lie down beside her. She’s so nervous, it’s adorable. I watch her for a few moments and notice that she’s still trembling like she’s cold.

“Do you want me to put my arm around you? To warm you up?”

“S-sure,” she replies quietly.

I turn onto my side and put one arm over her torso, pulling her close to me. I don’t know what perfume she uses, but it makes her smell like Christmas morning. It’s comforting and warm. I mumble, “Good night,” to her, then slowly and comfortably drift into sleep.

Chapter 3

Jess

In the middle of the night, Nick has a nightmare. I wake up when he starts tossing and turning and muttering meaningless words. Beads of sweat dot on his forehead as his eyebrows furrow intensely. Sitting up, I grab his shoulders and shake gently.

“Nick, Nick, it’s fine,” I say, feeling him calm down. “It’s fine. I’m here. You’re okay.”

His eyes flutter open, and relief floods into them when he sees me and the familiar room. Without speaking, he wraps both arms around my waist and tucks his face into the crook of my neck. My body freezes. I swear he can hear my heartbeat loudly under my pajama shirt. It takes me a minute to find the courage to touch his hair and start stroking it slowly.

“Did you have a bad dream?” I ask.

He nods and hums his response into my neck.

“What was it about?”

He doesn’t say, so I just hold him, and we lay there for a moment. Then, when he finally leans back, and our eyes meet, I feel this strange pull that makes my heart thump more violently than before as his gaze drops to my lips. I noticed him staring at them earlier at dinner, but I didn’t want to jump to conclusions. Now, I know for sure what he was thinking about then.

It’s not clear who makes the first move. Maybe we both lean in at the same time. But none of that matters when his lips touch mine, and we melt into each other, letting the kiss warm us up. I feel his hands on my legs, guiding them, so they’re wrapped around his thigh. I clutch him, my knee perilously close to his cock.

The heat of our bodies squirming against each other, even with layers of clothing between us, sends a rush of warmth down my body to my pulsing center. I feel something grow between us. His cock twitches.

Is this really happening?I ask myself, feeling like I’m going insane.

Outside, the wind starts howling and shaking the window. Nick holds me even tighter. This time, my leg slides up and over his cock. He shudders, throbbing against me.

Back home, I would say I’m not the kind of girl to be doing this with someone I just met. But here, now, there’s nothing I can do to stop this from happening. We’re already peeling our clothes off. The room that was once cold is now too hot to handle. I’m naked and trapped with him rubbing against me and groaning when he feels my hard nipples and realizes how turned on I am. I’m not sure how far we’ll go because the furthest I’ve gone with my ex was me sucking him off—because he was horny, and even though I wasn’t ready for sex, his needs were more important than mine—but I didn’t enjoy that. This, however, makes me go feral. The hardness of his body against the softness of mine is perfect. It’s like our bodies were made for each other.
