Blake gripped the back of her neck to hold her in place and started to drive into her.
A groan tore from her throat when the head of his cock bumped against her cervix. This time went even faster than the last. She took a deep gasping breath, and her blood pumped hard in her veins as her orgasm reached its peak, and then she screamed when it raced over her. Her sight and hearing dimmed as she came down from a high she had never imagined.
After he finished and cuddled her against his chest, she vaguely wondered if she’d ever get used to the intensity of their lovemaking. Then again, it didn’t matter because she loved him and wasn’t ever going to leave him.
Chapter Twelve
Simone riffled through her purse as she walked to the front door.
“Where do you think you’re going, mate?”
She jerked to a stop before she ran into him as he blocked the front door. “I already told you less than an hour ago.”
One of his brows spiked. “Youtoldme?”
She set her hands on her hips, and her chin jutted out. “Listen up, buttercup.” She had to hide her smile when he looked appalled. “I am an adult, and you are my mate. Not my father.”
Blake crossed his massive arms over his chest. “Being your mate goes beyond a father. We’re parts of each other’s souls.”
“I know that, but do I have to stop living because of it?”
He squeezed the back of his neck. “I just need you to be where you’re safe.”
“It’s in the middle of town, next to the diner.”
“Will a man be with you?”
“No. Just us three girls. What do you think I’m going to do?”
“It’s not what you’re doing, mate, because I know you’re a good girl.”
She bristled at that but let it go.
“It’s the men in town I don’t trust,” Blake said.
“So, you’re not going to let me go?” Simone studied his expression. She had to take a stand before this behavior got out of hand.
“No. You’ll wait until I can go with you.”
She let him see her tears before she turned, threw her purse on the sofa, and walked into their bedroom. She stared out their window at the beautiful landscape and mountains in the distance and wrapped her arms around her middle.
His scent hit her first, and then she saw his reflection in the window and tensed.
He sighed. “I’m sorry, mate. I’m just trying to protect you.”
“Please leave. I’d like some time to myself,” she said without looking at him.
The air in the room charged with tension.
“Don’t ever try to separate us or hide from me.”
“I’m not. I just don’t want to talk.”
“I don’t like leaving this undone,” he said.
She looked over her shoulder at him. “It’s simple. You want to control me, and I have to learn to live in a prison.”
He growled. “This isn’t a prison. Fuck, I also don’t want to control you.”
