Chapter 1
Lorne
She’s feeding the chipmunk. Just sitting there on the lawn, hand out, offering her lunch to the tiny rodent. What is that type of kindness like, to care about life’s smallest creatures?
I glance around her. Not another soul in sight. For a girl who’s nice to everyone and everything, she sure lacks friends. You’d think all the vultures on campus would flock to her. The perfect con, too sweet to believe the world is full of bastards who would easily chew her up and then spit her out.
“What are you looking at?” Cas asks.
“Perfection.”
Cas nods. He has his back to her. He never looks at her in front of me, but I’ve caught him staring. He returns his attention to his phone, pretending to have something important to focus on. “She’s a do-gooder. She can’t handle us.”
I bark out a laugh. “How would you know unless you’ve been watching her?”
Cas turns his gaze on me. “We fuck together. You want to fuck her. So I did my research.”
“I don’t want to fuck her.”
“Is that why we haven't banged a chick in months?”
I glare at Cas. We’ve been fucking together for years. It’s the only way it works—the two of us and a chick. But since I first set eyes on her, I can’t seem to think of anyone else. Cas wants to say this whole situation is on me, but he hasn’t floated a name either.
It didn’t start out that way. I only wanted to check her out and get the lay of the land. She was going to be an integral part of my life, after all—someone I’d see regularly. But then curiosity turned into something else—obsession. That’s why we’re here at the university. We’re not students, but we harbor an insatiable need to learn all we can about Noelle White.
Pieces of drywall fall onto the floor as my fist creates a hole in the wall. My knuckles are red and raw, but I don’t care. I need the distraction. Violence is Cas’s coping mechanism, but it also seems to work for me. When in Rome, I guess.
I don’t know what it is about this girl. She probably doesn’t even know what a cock looks like, let alone what to do with one. But whenever I close my eyes, I see her on her knees with her hands wrapped around our cocks, begging us to choke her.
I gaze up from my hand and watch as Cas stares out the window in her direction. “She’d look hot covered in cum.”
“I fuckin’ knew it. You want her too.”
Cas shrugs. “I like to fuck. She has three holes.” He squints, hands balled into fists, jaw tight.
“What is it?”
“Who’s the fucker?”
I jump toward the window, my eyes narrowing. There beside our pretty little Snow is Peter, the fuckin’ khaki-wearing loser. She’s smiling up at him. They talk for a minute, and then she pats the grass beside her, offering him a place to sit.
My stomach turns. She’s never once offered me a smile like the one she’s giving him. Maybe in a different life, if I were a better guy, she would have. “I think his name is Peter. He’s a senator's son. I’ll dig up some information.”
“Or we could just smash his brains in.”
I turn to Cas. He’s grinning, but his eyes are void of life. It’s the same look he gets when he takes care of loose ends. That’s why he’s so good at his job. He has no empathy, no remorse, and no tangible emotion. At least the psycho is loyal. “You can’t kill him on campus.”
“No problem,” he says, his grin growing larger. “I can do it when he’s off campus. I want to use that new hacksaw. Oh, I also got a new drill. The thing is powerful. I’m sure I could take an eyeball out in five seconds.”
“We have business dealings here, Cas. We don’t shit where we eat.”
Chapter 2
Caspian
I’m gonna cut off his dick and feed it to him. It’s only fitting since that’s probably why he’s talking to her. His eyes will be next. Gonna pop them right out of his colossal head. Maybe play hacky sack with them. I only need to cut out one eye to do that, so he can watch me play.
“She’s smiling at him. Why is she smiling at him? That guy can’t be funny. Look at him.”
Lorne slaps my back as he laughs. “Thought she was just another pussy.”
“She is. Our pussy, and I don’t like people touching my toys. Especially new ones.”
“Jesus, Cas, stop.”
I turn to look at Lorne, but my vision is blurry. “We’re gonna kill him, right?”
Lorne pulls a white cloth from his pocket and dabs it on my face.
“What the fuck are you doing?”
“You broke the glass with your head, Cas. You’re bleeding.”
I turn to the window. Shards of glass are now on the pane and the floor around my feet. I didn’t even realize I’d done it. I tend to zone out when I get angry. The only signs of what happens when I do are apparent on my flesh. But usually, it’s someone else's blood.
