Cole’s statement of possession only stokes my passion. I’m his body, mind, and soul. “Yours,” I tremble, my head pressing against the pillow.

“Kate, look at me.”

I open my eyes to Cole’s blue-black ones. “Cole…” My whole body arches into him as I burn with passion, and my eyes involuntarily flutter closed. “More.” Our slick bodies glide together as the tempo of our mating escalates.

“Cookie, I need your eyes on me.” Cole releases my hands, tangling them in my hair, bringing us face to face, his black glazed eyes lock with mine.

My fingers claw into his back. I want to bind myself in every viable way to Cole. I can feel his heartbeat raging wild against his chest.

Cole’s hands dig into my hips. “I love you Kate.” Damp curls cling to his forehead, an intense concerted look in his eyes, but his mouth spreads into that smile, and his hand skims across my pelvis, his fingers finding my throbbing bud. I cry out and with a few more strokes, my body quivers, climaxing. Blinding, white-hot lights ignite like sparklers behind my eyes, my body’s consumed with searing pleasure.

“Oh God, Katie.” Cole thrusts one last time as he comes, his cock throbbing inside of me. He gives me a fast hot kiss, nipping my bottom lip, then collapses onto his back, taking me with him so we are still skin to skin.

“Forget cake, I want that for breakfast, lunch and dinner,” I pant as my lungs burn, trying to consume more air.

Cole pushes sweat dampened tendrils of hair off my forehead. “Watching you eat that cake naked was the biggest turn on. Cake and sex, who knew?”

“You’re such a tease.”

I finish eating my cake as I watch Cole get dressed. He makes one last adjustment to his tie and then slips his suit coat on.

“Now take it off.” Whoops, I said that out loud. Cole raises an eyebrow at me, and I wag mine at him. “That would be a much better show.” I pull my phone out. “How about some music while you undress for me.”

“Cookie.”

“I’ll give you a bite of my cake.” Cole straps his watch on, shaking his head.

“Don’t forget, we’re going out tonight with my dad and Olivia.”

I roll over, pressing my face into the pillow and scream. “How could I forget? I should probably get a dress to wear. Do you think Luke could take me to Classic Remake?”

Cole momentarily tenses. “It would help me out if you stayed in today.”

I blow out a breath. I guess I should have seen that coming. “That’s fine.”

“Here is Becca Howard’s number; she’s the personal shopper I hired. Call her. She can help you with whatever you need.”

“Sounds good.”

“Will you walk me out?” Cole holds his hand out. I take it and he helps me up.

At the top of the stairs, he kisses me goodbye. “Have a lovely day at work, dear,” I muse. He entwines his fingers in my hair, pulling me to him. His kiss is hard with need, his tongue plunging, devouring my mouth. I fight the urge to fist my hands in his hair, instead I dig my hands in his back. Our kiss is broken only by the need for air.

Cole punches the button and the elevator dings open. “Love you, Cookie,” his voice is shaky and winded, but that beautiful smile of his crosses his face.

I hold on to the railing for support; my knees are weak. “Love you,” I whisper, still too winded to talk. Cole mouths the same again and the doors slide closed. That man and the things he does to me.

I walk back into the bedroom and grab my phone. I sit on the bed, sliding it through my hands. Cole said I should call my mom, that she wants to talk to me. But if that’s true, then why doesn’t she call me? I already know the answer to that question. She may be ready to talk, but she’s always patiently waited for me to come to her. I’m the stubborn one in my family, just like my dad. I pull up her number, but my fingers hover over the call button for a couple of minutes before I finally hit send.

“Hello?”

“Hi Mom,”

“Oh Katie, I’m so glad you called.”

“Are you still mad at me?”

“No, sweet girl, I was never mad at you, worried and concerned, but never mad.”
