And he really fucking should. Especially with how high tensions have been for us lately.
“You don’t need to rat on me either. Dad already knows I’m going. So, yeah…” She trailed off before spinning around and leaving, both of us staring at her lush ass.
I punched Bash in the arm. “You can wipe the drool off your face now.”
“Ow, what the fuck?” He asked as he rubbed his arm. The dude’s beenshotmultiple times, but yeah, I’m sure the punch to the arm hurt. “I’m sorry that your girl’s fucking hot. It doesn’t hurt to look.”
“Mygirl? Are you high?”
“No, but I plan to be soon,” he grinned. “Don’t worry, man. I would never go there. I know she’s been yours since we were kids.”
Emilia Evans wasn’t my girl, although there had been a time when I thought she would be. I let myself get lost in the fantasy of her being my old lady. Of spending my days with her by my side. Of having kids with her. Of fucking her and only her for the rest of my life.
Then I had some sense knocked into me and realized that was the most selfish thing I could ever do.
Locking Emilia down in Castle Grove–to this life–would be a detriment to her. She would grow to resent me. I’d seen it with my own parents. They were in love at one point, but the club always came first. Even before their marriage.
I groaned and took another drink off the bottle in my hand. “I don’t wanna fucking talk about her anymore. Actually, I don’t wanna talk about any chicks. I just wanna get drunk.”
“I’ll be in the garage. I’m stressed with this bullshit going on with the Morettis. I need to relax a little.” Bash sighed as he ran his hand through his long dark hair. Dude pulled off the look somehow.
“It looked like you were pretty relaxed with Layla.”
Bash shuddered. “Definitely not. There’s a reason I left her hanging to go see Emilia.”
“Because Emilia is better than a blow job.”
“Well, yeah. Even subpar blow jobs are pretty good. But damn, seeing Emmy was great. I’m glad she’s here. I think you are too.” He nudged my shin with his boot.
“Whatever,” I mumbled into my bottle.
Seeing Emilia was a lot of things. Great? I wasn’t so sure about that.
