Alex stood. “I’ll keep you company.”

“No, let me go,” Zach said. “It’s dark, and I’ll wear a hoodie. I’m going stir crazy here.”

She didn’t see the harm. “Okay.”

“I’ll follow you since the center is halfway to my place,” Mason said.

“I appreciate you doing this.”

“Are you kidding? I want these people taken down before they shoot me. Playing dead would kill my business.”

They all laughed, something that was in short supply of late. She could only hope this was the answer they’d been looking for.

CHAPTERNINETEEN

“What’s our plan?”Alex asked Liam.

“Regarding?”

“Tawny? I know she and I rocked in bed. She loved it and wanted more.”

Liam held up his hand. “I think she had a better time with me, but that’s beside the point. She’s our mate, so we don’t need to be competing for her.”

“Did she admit she was willing to have both of us?” Alex asked.

“Not in so many words, but I think she might be open to it.”

“Great!” Alex said. “If that’s the case, the question is whether we both go into her room tonight or wait until she asks us? I really think she wants to know if she likes being with the two of us.”

“I agree.”

“Did you tell her you two were mates?” Alex asked.

“I did,” Liam said. “When she asked if you and she were mates, I didn’t deny it.”

“Good. Let’s see what she says about trying a threesome.”

“That’s assuming she’s not too stressed out about Mason planting the bugs.”

Alex tapped his forehead. “Just in case, we could have some wine ready when she returns. She’d like the romantic touch.”

“Perfect. I’ll light the fireplace. If that doesn’t put her in a romantic mood, I don’t know what will.”

Alex scrunched his brows. “Who are you, and what did you do with the serious and analytical Liam Zano?”

Liam held up his middle finger. “I can be fun if the situation calls for it.”

His friend would need to be at the top of his game if he wanted to win over Tawny. “I’ll get the wine. I don’t imagine she and Mason will take that long.”

“What about Zach?” Liam asked.

“At the appropriate time, we’ll telepath to him that he needs to head downstairs.”

“Poor guy. This has to be tough on him,” Liam said.

“At least he can run around in the woods in his wolf form whenever he wants.”

“True.”
