I was pretty psyched about moving in with Max. I’d gone from living at home with my folks to moving in with Josie. I’d never lived with a boyfriend before, so I was planning on enjoying every moment ofplaying housewith Max.

“How did dinner with your folks go?”

“Very well. Mom thinks Max is a dish,” I laughed.

“He is. I can tell from the photos you’ve shown me.”

“He’s even sexier in person. Not that I’m biased or anything.”

“Of course not.”

“I had no idea I’ve collected so much crap in the four years we’ve lived here, Josie,” I said and ran my hands through my hair. “There’s no way I’m dragging all this stuff with me. This is the perfect opportunity to declutter, me thinks.”

“Yeah, I’m going to need a team of experts to help me move out of here.”

“Are you moving?”

“Yeah, I think so. I need something closer to the office.”

I stopped packing and looked up at Josie. I loved her so much. She was the closest thing to a sister I would ever know. I was going to miss living with her.

“I love you, Josie.”

“End of an era, Angel. End of an era. I love you too.”

* * *

“Funny. I thought you’d be on my doorstep with more than four boxes.”

“What can I say? I travel light,” I smiled as Max carried my worldly good into our new home. If only he knew how much crap I got rid of before I left Josie’s.

“Welcome home, baby,” Max said once everything was inside.

“Ahh, thanks, Hon. What do you say we have a party? I’d love to introduce you to Josie.”

“That’s a great idea.”

“And how’s this for a plan? I’ll get Adrian to cater.”

“Adrian who was responsible for introducing me to the best waitress I’d ever secretly ravaged at a birthday party?” Max grinned.

“Yup. That’s the one,” I laughed.

“Excellent.”

“As long as you don’t spill the beans,” I warned. He still thinks of me as a good girl, nerd.”

“As do I, my sweet. As do I,” Max purred and grabbed my ass.

“Who shall we invite?” I asked while my new roomie was helping himself to my posterior.

“I don’t mind. The more the merrier. As long as I can hump you in the pantry while no one is looking.”

“Max. You’re incorrigible.”

“That’s why you love me, baby.”

“And then some.”
