She lowered her torso over mine, her breasts pressing to my chest, and kissed me, hard and frantic. Our breath mingled, inhaling each other in. Our bodies slammed together, faster and faster as we both chased our orgasm.
Tension and heat pooled and gathered, and I knew I wouldn’t be able to hold on much longer.
“Fuck. Aah, fuck, Ivy,” I gasped. “Don’t stop.”
“I’m close, I’m close.”
Her pussy clenched around my cock, and she jammed her hips down hard on mine, at the exact moment I spilled inside her. Energy poured from me into her. She squeezed me tight, rocking her hips, as though she was trying to get every last drop out of me. God, that felt incredible.
“I love you.” She fell into my arms, breathing hard. “I love you so much.”
“I love you, too, Jay.”
I held her tight, her cheek resting against my rising and falling chest, and buried my nose in her hair.
For the first time in a month, I slept without being beaten and drunk.
Chapter Twenty-Five
Ivy
––––––––
ICOULDN’T PRETENDthat I wasn’t feeling happier now I was back in Jay’s arms. That he’d been excited about my pregnancy had also eased some of the tension I’d been in the grip of over the past month.
Things still weren’t going to be easy sailing, though. I hadn’t married my hatred of what he’d done with my love for him, but I knew I wasn’t going to be able to live without him, especially now I had his baby inside me.
But if my family had been against our relationship before, I didn’t want to think what their reaction was going to be now. Them finding out had led to my brother’s death, so what would they do when they found out I was carrying Jayden’s baby? Were more people destined to die?
We needed to get out of London. It was the only way we were going to survive as a family.
I was also worried about what Jayden would do about the Irish now. Their gang might not have the sort of structure or money our families had, but that didn’t mean they weren’t dangerous. The fact they’d manged to kill off a Cornell and possibly a Wynter should be enough to prove that. I didn’t want Jayden rushing over there, all guns blazing, to take his revenge.
Right now, he seemed more distracted by me than the Irish, and I hoped I could keep it that way.
Jay slept with his hand on my stomach, and I covered the back of it with my palm. My touch stirred him, and he blinked open his eyes and stared at me.
