“You focus on the Gilligans, if you want,” I told him. “But I have other things to think about, and right now, I’m thinking about how there’s still vodka that needs drinking.”
I walked out of the office and headed back into the bar. The place had filled up again while I’d been out the back. I spotted my favourite barstool still empty and made a beeline for it.
“Hi! Hello? Excuse me?” a feminine voice called after me.
I turned to find the girl who’d had the champagne thrown over her running after me on her high heels. Her small but round breasts bounced with each step, and she tugged at the short skirt of the dress as it rode up her shapely thighs.
I stopped. “Can I help you?”
“I just wanted to say thank you for what you did back there. It meant a lot that you stuck up for me.”
She gazed up at me from beneath her lashes, her pink lips slightly parted, revealing white teeth. There was no denying she was gorgeous, and I was sure it would only take a single word from me to get her into bed.
Since I’d lost Jodie, it was as though my dick had died with her. I had zero interest in other women, and even my favourite porn couldn’t get a quite literal rise out of me.
“It wasn’t about you,” I told her, probably disappointing her. “I wanted a fight, and that arsehole gave me the opportunity to start one.”
“Oh.” Her gaze dropped down. “I see.” She lifted her chin again and stuck out her hand. “Well, I’m Izzie, by the way.”
I didn’t take it. “And I’m not what you’re looking for, Izzie. I promise you that.”
Her smile faltered. “Right, well, thanks again. I guess I’d better get going.”
“Yes, you should.”
The only thing that was going to make me feel better was taking my revenge on Rasmus. No matter what Tam said, I had to get to Estonia.
Chapter Two
Kaja
––––––––
“KAJA, WHAT THE FUCKdo you think you’re doing?”
I started at my father’s shout and jumped to my feet. “Nothing, Isa,” I said, using the Estonian word for ‘father.’
