“I want to give it to you. I’ve never done ass play before. Of any kind, and that might shock you, but it was a limit I never crossed for fear of damaging myself.” Callie had it all on the menu and more than once she had to cancel the entire week’s schedules because of the pain. It scared me enough to guard my hard limits.

He raises one brow. “You don’t say?”

I swallow hard, thinking about the other Astor’s punishing style. “Can you be gentle, I mean, maybe for the first time?” I phrase it as a question even if it’s going to be mandatory.

“Do you think I’m a barbarian?” Jesse asks, licking his lips, a playful grin on his mouth. I can’t tell if it’s a jab at Riley, but I know I need to stop comparing. “Of course, I can be gentle.”

He leans in and kisses me gently, running his hands down my arms to land on my waist. His touch sets my skin aflame. Never enough. “And you want to give your ass to me?”

“Does it matter what I want?” It comes out a little more caustic than I intended.

He steps away, his hands dropping from my body. “You do think I’m a barbarian.”

I lick my lips. “You’ve killed at least three people that I can confirm since we’ve met.”

Jesse runs a hand through his hair. I watch his muscles dance under the spotlight he’s under. “It was important for you to know what you were signing up for.”

“Jesse, like I said, I don’t think it matters what I want. I didn’t sign up for anything.”

“You did today,” he says, placing both hands on his head. “You own the building next door. That was a decision.” He doesn’t call it the motel, I notice. I look out the window, searching for my old room. With a click of a button, the large panel of glass takes on a different hue. Jesse explains it turns the windows mirrored on the outside while we can still see out.

“So, you never used that feature before? Why not? Did you know I was watching you?” I ask, confused why someone wouldn’t keep that feature turned on all the time. He seems annoyed with our deviation, but his gaze lingers on my body.

“Maybe I knew, maybe I didn’t,” Jesse says. “Let’s go shower the paint off. You have it on yourself too, might as well save some water and shower together.” He grins and leaves, expecting me to follow.

I gaze at his back as he goes into his bedroom, and I’m left staring at the unfinished painting of a child. Folding my arms across my chest, a chill rips through the air. The smile of the child is haunting. I won’t forget it, and I’m almost glad Jesse didn’t paint eyes on it. It would offer even more emotion I don’t quite understand. I gather my clothes and bag and head into Jesse’s room, but I hear the shower in my black bedroom. Dropping my stuff on the chair by the fireplace, I join Jesse. His eyes are closed as he rinses his hair. Because this is the second dick I’ve seen in twenty-four hours, I can’t help the comparison. Jesse wants me to look in this neutral zone of the shower. We aren’t sexual yet. This is the introduction. I exhale noisily and he opens his eyes. “And?”

“And what?”

“You’ve experienced both, so what’s your preference?”

I knew it. “Yours has only been in my mouth, so I think I’ll reserve my opinion for after if you don’t mind.”

He opens his mouth, then shuts it, gaze dancing across my face as I wash myself under the showerhead opposite him. “I’m the main. You should know how it’s going to work. You’re mine, but now that Riley has intertwined you at the office, you belong to him.”

Pressing my lips together, I think of what I want to know most. “No one should know I’m with both of you?”

He shakes his head. “Not anymore. It’s different now that you’re public with Riley. He told the company you’re his girlfriend.”

Oh. Wow. “Not something he usually does?” I furrow my brow. My heart races at the thought of beingspecialin some way.

Jesse shakes his head. “I don’t know why he did it either.”

Offensive, but I’d never admit it. “You seem to have a close relationship; couldn’t you ask him?”

“Some things are better left unsaid and unasked, Drew. You’ll learn.”

“You share every detail about our relationship I don’t see how this is any different.”

“He didn’t share last night with me,” Jesse says, adjusting his water temperature. “It was a guess because we were in the same meeting today and I could tell he had a good night.” He mutters something to himself and turns away, so the water muffles his words.

Twisting the lever, I turn off my shower stream and move to wrap my arms around Jesse’s body from behind. He startles but settles into my touch. Rubbing my hands over his body, I commit his hard lines to memory. “Nothing is saying we can’t also have a good night as well.”

“You don’t get it,” Jesse snaps, turning in my embrace so his dick is pressed between our naked bodies.

“Help me understand then.”

“We’re finished talking about him. Do you want to be fucked in here or in bed?” He licks his lips.
