"I'm heading to the beach."

I'd barely made it to the sliding door when James stepped into my path.

His eyes raked over me. "You're going out like that?"

I frowned. "I'm going to the beach. I'm in my swimsuit. Yes, I'm going out like this."

"Don't you think you should have a robe or something?"

"For the beach?"

"People are going to stare at you.”

I studied him, trying to figure out the problem. "I'm sure they won't, but what if they do? I'm not doing anything wrong. It's the beach."

"Do you have another swimsuit?"

I jabbed my fists on my hips. "No, I don't. I'm lucky I have this one. Otherwise, I'd be skinny dipping."

His head jerked back, and his eyes widened in shock. "Over my dead body, you'll skinny dip."

My brain cells must've been slow this morning because I was only now beginning to think that he had a problem with people seeing me in my bikini, not because he thought I was dressed obscenely but because the man in him didn’t want to share. Wow.

This was a moment where I needed to remind him of our agreement. When it was just us, there was no acting like we belonged to each other. There was also no indulging the chemistry that in the last second had morphed from a simmer to an inferno.

“Those are strong words from a man who is insistent that we keep our distance.”

“We’re married. It’s not unreasonable for a man to expect his wife not to be ogled by other men.”

I would have laughed but he was so serious. “First, I can’t help what other men do. You don’t think women don’t look at you? Second, you say we’re married, and yet you’re holed up here working while on our honeymoon. Which is it, James? We’re married and need to act that way, or not?”

He glared at me. “You like fucking with me, don’t you?” Frustration radiated from him. I wanted to put him out of his misery, but the way I would do that would be dealing with the erection tenting his lounge pants, and I was pretty sure he didn’t want that.

“I don’t know. I haven’t fucked you.” I was shocked at my words. I’d never been so brazen. I’d never used the F-word.

Wild fire blazed in his eyes. “You’d like that, wouldn’t you?”

“I already said so.” I looked down at his bulging erection. “You’d like it too.” I brushed my finger over the tip of him.

He sucked in a breath and took my arms, pressing me against the wall next to the sliding door. “You’re playing with fire.”

It didn’t feel like playing, but I didn’t have a chance to point that out because his mouth was on mine. I moaned against his lips as my fingers gripped his T-shirt and my legs weakened.

His lips trailed down my jaw and neck. His fingers pulled down the cup of my bikini, and then his talented lips were sucking on my nipple.

“Oh, God.” Arousal flooded my body until I was humming with building pleasure.

As his tongue and lips did the most delicious things to my breast, his other hand dipped under my bikini bottoms. His finger slid over my clit, and my knees really did buckle.

“Fuck!” He stood, wrapping his arm around me and dragging me to the table. He set me on it and dropped to his knees, pulling my bikini bottoms down and pushing my thighs open. His tongue flicked over my clit and then licked through my pussy folds.

I cried out and gripped his head, wanting to make sure he didn’t stop. God knew, he’d likely regret this, but I was going to savor this. I’d never felt so excited and aroused before.

“Yes... yes...” I chanted as pleasure bloomed, expanding until I teetered on the edge of oblivion.

He continued to lick and suck, and then he inserted his finger inside me and rubbed a spot that sent me blasting into the stratosphere. Stars burst. The earth moved. All the clichés about orgasms rocked through me.

My entire body shook even as my orgasm faded. I lay on the table like a wet noodle.
