He put his hand over my tattoo and gritted his teeth. “You’re going to feel everything faster than I’d like if you keep saying things like that.”

I spread my thighs wider and rolled my hips. “Fuck me, Jay.”

“Show me how you want it, Angel. Ride my dick and show me heaven.”

Hearing that name roll off his tongue snapped whatever part of me I was holding back free. The negative roar faded away and then it was just Jayden, seeing me in the best way. Without fear of how I’d look, I braced my hands and rocked my hips. Slowly at first, I used just a few inches of his length to fuck myself. The new angle made him feel even larger, and he stretched parts of me that hadn’t been touched in years. It didn’t take long for my body to open to his size. When it did, I moved faster, bouncing my ass off his strong stomach as I drove myself back and forth on his full length. I moaned his name and impaled myself on his cock until my core quivered with a growing orgasm.

Jayden took control then, gripping my hips even harder and driving into me hard and fast. My arms gave out, and I ended up with my cheek against his floor while he held my lower half up and never slowed down. His shaft stroked something in me that made me scream in pleasure each time he hit it. When he reached around my thigh and settled his fingers over my clit, I came hard, with a wild scream of his name. My body clenched down on his, and I gasped when I felt the first spray of his orgasm inside me. Rocking together as we both came, I gasped for breath and reached back to touch him. He knew what I needed and held my hand. Even as I shook from the massive orgasm he’d given me, a quiet sense of panic formed at the back of my head.

I’d loved Jayden more than life itself one time. My leaving, the breakup, it had nearly destroyed me. Yet my body celebrated rejoining with his like that dark time had never happened.

Fear. My brain had had more than enough of it, while my body didn’t have a care in the world. I told myself it was just one night, though. After that night, I’d go home and probably never see him again. Holiday Village was a small town, but it was large enough that I hadn’t run into Jayden once since I’d moved back.

Jayden trailed his fingertips over my tattoo and slowly pulled out. Without waiting on me to even try to stand up, he just lifted me, like I hadn’t put on plenty of weight since we’d dated. I was heavy, I knew I was, but he just held me to his chest and carried me into his bathroom.

He put me on the counter, grinning when I gasped at how cold it was under my butt. “Bath. We need a bath, and I want to see your face when I come in you this time.”

I flashed surprised eyes down at his shaft and saw he was still hard. “Wow.”

He started the bath and stood back so he could watch me. “Seems like he’s missed you.”

I giggled and then rolled my eyes. “Stop making me do that.”

“You have a few minutes until the bath is ready. If you’re so worried about it, you could do something else with your mouth. I like the giggle, though, so feel free to carry on.”

I raised my brow at him. “Something else?”

He walked closer. “Something else that you ruined for me when you left. You’ve got a mouth like a vacuum and no gag reflex, Angel. I’ve dreamt ofsomethingelseat least once a week for the last decade.”

Heart pounding, I pushed him back and dropped to my knees in front of him. Glancing up to see his face tight with desire, I licked my lips and gripped his length. “I should be sorry. I must be a terrible person and an even worse angel, Jay, because the thought of you thinking of my mouth all these years makes me hot. Even if it isn’t true, the idea that no one else could make you feel this good… I’m a monster.”

“Seems we both left our mark on the other. I’ve seen yours. Let me have mine.”

I took him deep into my mouth and moaned when his hands settled in my hair. I’d never worked harder to make sure I made a man feel good. By the time I was done, by the timehewas done, the bath water ran over the edge of the tub and the bathroom was soaked. I was kneeling in a puddle, but it didn’t matter. Not when Jayden didn’t even seem to notice the mess. He didn’t take his eyes off me.

It was hours later before either of us managed to take our eyes off the other and fall asleep. Even then, it was with him wrapped around me, his big body holding me tight.

Iwokeupgigglinglike an idiot, all smiles and happiness. Jayden was still wrapped around me, and I had to pry myself free to be able to make it to the bathroom. I was brushing my teeth with my finger and his toothpaste, thinking of how I was going to crawl into bed and wake him up in a really naughty way, when I realized just how bright it was in the bathroom. The sun was pouring in through the sole window.

A wave of wild panic hit me all at once. I frantically looked around for a clock, and when I found one, I nearly cried. It was past ten in the morning. I’d forgotten about my sale and slept right through it. I’d slept through my business’s biggest sale of the year, as the sole employee.Even as I searched for my clothes from the night before, I ran the numbers in my head. I wasn’t the best at math, but I was smart enough to know that I’d just missed a chance to make the same amount of money I’d made throughout the rest of the year, inoneday. Plus, there was the shame of knowing people would’ve seen my vacant booth and probably figured I’d finally quit trying.

I finally gave up on my own clothes and pulled on Jayden’s shirt. It was long enough that I’d be able to wear it on the walk back to the bar without getting arrested for indecent exposure. I just had to leave. If I got to the market and there were enough people still there, I could maybe salvage some of the business I’d lost. With a crushing sense of failure and doom, I pulled on my boots and tried not to cry. I knew that I might have just ruined my own business, and the idea that everyone was right about me slammed around my brain like a scooter to the ankle over and over again. It hurt. A lot.

I stopped in the doorway of Jayden’s bedroom and looked back at him. He was spread out on his stomach, his entire naked body uncovered. He was beautiful. Every part of him, inside and out. I’d wanted my one night with him to stretch into the morning, with the idea that the night wasn’ttechnicallyover, but with me leaving, I knew it was over. I’d go back to never seeing him and having him as just a memory that came up way too often.

Forcing myself to walk away was hard. I found my purse on the floor, its contents strewn about. I couldn’t make sense of what I was seeing as I picked up a chewed-up tube of lipstick until footsteps and heavy panting broke through my focus, and I realized I was squatting next to the largest dog I’d ever seen. I nearly screamed as I stared up at the thing. He just panted and stared at me before sitting down and sighing.

“Um. Were you here last night? I’m going to assume you’re Jayden’s dog. Or you’re a thief who just broke in and now we’re here and in this together. Me, sneaking out. You, probably sneaking out, too.” The dog tilted his head at me. Don’t ask how I knew he was a he, either. It wasn’t pretty. “Why am I more comfortable with the idea of you being a thief who broke in than the idea that you sat out here all night while your daddy and I did dirty things to each other? You’d be scarred.”

He leaned over and licked the side of my face, lifting my hair in the process. His tag, a large bone-shaped thing, readJohn.

I frowned. “He named youJohn? Dear god, that’s horrible. No offense, it’s just…John?”

The dog licked me again, excited that I knew his name. He watched silently as I gathered my items into my purse, minus the chewed-up lipstick, and sighed again.
