“What was decided?” I ask.

He shakes his head. “Nothing for now. We will have orcs guarding this street by tomorrow, a show of force. Hopefully enough to persuade Yarek that there are easier neighborhoods to annex.”

I nod. “That sounds positive.”

“I will never let anything happen to you. Or your found family.”

“Okay,” I say, my heart thundering. “I mean, thanks. I’ve never… I’ve always had to look out for myself, you know?”

“No more. From now on, you let me watch you.” He starts pulling my hands.

“Wait, where are we going?”

“I will show you how orcs live. You will see that we are able to protect you. I will show you my hut, also, I want…” His teeth gnash for a moment before he continues. “I want you to see where I live. I want to show you my life, Emmie.”

I grin and nod. “Lead the way.”

The golf course behind the neighborhood all belongs to the orcs, and Tigor shows me around like he’s a realtor giving a tour to a potential buyer. It’s so strange to hear him proudly make a fuss over their water tower, and the fire pits where they cook their food, but this is all they’ve ever known. I wouldn’t have it any other way but I remember days when these things were nothing special, when we would walk past a water tower without batting an eyelid.

He takes me to see his hut, then leads me to the woods that border their property, promising me that there’s something I’ll love.

“Where are we actually going?” I ask as he pulls me through the pines, the sun still lingering but hanging low in the sky. “At sometime, I’m going to have to go—oh, my…”

I stop and stare as he turns and grins, his wide orc mouth being stretched as he watches my eyes dart all around. This place is amazing. An actual lake in the middle of nowhere, presumably once a water hazard for the golf course but now more of an oasis in the middle of the overgrown woods.

There is a small hut, animal hides on the ground in front along with pillows and what looks like a little picnic basket.

“Wow,” I murmur, and his hand goes to my face. “You did this?”

He nods.

“Finally, my mate, we are alone,” he says. “Allalone.”

ChapterFive

Tigor

Emmie leans back against my chest after she took a quick swim and I watched in awe of her beauty.

I feed her another grape from the basket of food. The sky is that kind of blue that reminds me of the before years back in North Haara. The sky there was so perfect, it was hard to look at, just like now. I close my eyes and concentrate on my heart thumping against where Emmie’s head rests on my chest.

Each time I feel my heartbeat, I feel it again down lower where my poor cock is confined under my kilt against Emmie’s plump, perfect ass. It pulses against her, the mating scent from between her legs more potent than any potion conjured in the universe.

“I never wanted to be mated,” I rumble as Emmie shifts to crouch on her knees, waving away another oyster I hold up for her to eat.

“No more, I’ll burst,” she says, turning to face me kneeling between my outstretched legs. “I’m sorry? I mean, you never wanted to be mated, so, I’m sorry, because now, you say you are. Mated, I mean. To me.”

“Never sorry, little one. Sometimes you do not know what you want until you have it.”

She nods, her pink lips pressed tight. “This is beautiful, you ever had a picnic here before?” There’s a hint of jealousy in her voice and it makes me smile. “What?” She chirps on a little giggle. “You’re smiling. I’ve never seen you smile. You are handsome when you smile.”

“I’m not handsome when I don’t?”

“Well sure…” She reaches out and presses her fingers to my cheeks, making me groan. “It just looked like a lot of effort with the hut, the picnic, the pillows…”

“Your wedding day should be special,” I say, swallowing as I wait for her reaction.

“What?” Confusion drops her hands from my cheeks, which I miss but I must carry out the plan.
