She rolled to her back and blinked up at him. “What girls?”
She almost sounded jealous, which was ridiculous because they’d only known each other for a few hours.
“The old ladies of some of my brothers.”
There was a look in her eyes he couldn’t decipher.
“You want me to meet the old ladies?”
“Yeah.”
“I’d love to.” She jumped out of bed. “Let me get dressed and comb my hair.”
Chapter Four
Rage held Dana’s hand as they walked into the kitchen. The women were making breakfast and laughing.
“Hey, girls. I want you to meet Dana.” He pointed out each woman, told Dana the name and who she was with.
Rage saw the women smile, but something was missing. It was like they were forcing themselves to be nice to her.
“It’s nice to meet you, Dana,” Amelia said. “How about some breakfast?”
“That sounds good. This guy rode me pretty hard last night,” Dana said.
Fury, Traeger, and Dre walked into the room at that moment. They stopped and stared down at the woman.
“Hey, boss, this is Dana.”
Fury looked her up and down and said nothing.
Rage cleared his throat. “Dana, this is the prez, Fury, Dre, his brother, and the vice prez, Traeger.”
She held out a hand. “It’s nice to meet you.”
Fury looked at him, ignoring the woman’s hand. “Where did you meet her?”
“Last night at the bar we were at.”
“I see. What is she to you?” Fury asked.
“We haven’t discussed anything. We just met, boss,” Rage said.
Fury nodded, walked around the woman and to Amelia, where he wrapped his arms around her and started kissing her.
Rage looked down at Dana to find her scowling.
“What’s the problem?” Rage asked.
She instantly relaxed and smiled up at him. “Nothing. I’m just trying to remember all the names.”
“Don’t worry about it. You’ll get to know them in time,” Rage said. “Let’s get a plate.”
Rage handed her one and then grabbed one for himself. “Thanks, girls.”
The women smiled. “You’re welcome.”
Rage took her outside to some chairs in the back. Everyone stayed away, giving them space.
