“That would be great,” Amelia said. “It won’t be so bad if more people are involved.”
Harley glanced around again when she felt like she was being watched and still didn’t see anything. Hell, maybe she was tired. She’d driven from Florida in less than two days and was looking forward to her bed.
“Let’s go sit down. There are a few things that have changed,” Zoe said.
All the women except Kyra, Jada, and Lina stayed at the store because of all the boxes of merchandise that were delivered.
Harley sat between Zoe and Amelia. “Okay, tell me.”
“Rage is seeing someone,” Lindsey said.
Harley inhaled and nodded. She told him not to wait for her, but it still hurt that he didn’t, which was ridiculous. “I told him not to wait for me because I didn’t know when I’d be back, so I can’t be mad. Heck, we weren’t together, really. We were never intimate or anything.”
“He was messed up for a while after you left,” Zoe said.
“I feel so bad about that,” Harley said.
Tara nudged Lindsey. “Tell her everything.”
“What?” Harley said.
Lindsey looked around. “The woman is a skank, but he can’t see it. The fact she resembles you a bit makes us believe that’s why he’s with her.”
“Really?” That information shocked her but also pleased her.
“Yeah. The thing is, the woman is horrible,” Amelia said.
Harley’s eyes widened. If Amelia thought the woman was terrible, then she was. She’d never heard her speak ill of anyone.
“Hey, maybe if he knows you’re back, he’ll ditch her,” Lindsey said.
“We can only hope,” Zoe agreed.
Harley didn’t know what to think at that point. She’d see how things went.
“Are you doing any baking today?” Harley asked. It was just another thing she missed when she was away.
“Are we ever done baking?” Tara grinned. “The guys go through brownies and cookies within hours. We still have to set some aside for our men, so they don’t miss out.”
Amelia chuckled. “Yeah, the first time we baked, everything was gone by the time Fury and Traeger came in, and I didn’t hear anything but that for days.”
They all laughed and stood.
Making treats for the guys would take her mind off Rage, and that’s exactly what she needed.
Chapter Six
Rage was walking down the stairs with Dana when Ax stopped him at the bottom. Rage and Dana were spending more and more time in his room because no one could stand to be around her.
“Hey, man. FYI, Harley’s back.”
Rage felt like someone had punched him in the stomach.
“Who’s Harley?” Dana asked.
“She’s part of the family. She had to take care of a family member, but she’s back,” Ax said.
“Good. I’m glad she’s back,” Rage said.
