She bit down on her lips and fuck me if that didn’t already make my dick twitch. She was temptation. Claiming her would be a cardinal sin.

“Mr Farrington?” I hated that she called me that. I wanted her to say my name. My real name.

“That’s not my name, Anna.” It was the first time I was using her endearing nickname. “Say my name.”

I stepped in close toward and she took a tentative step back.

That was a bad idea. She was running and I loved a good chase.

Her actions incited another wave of excitement to filter into me.

We continued our little dance until her back hit against the wall and she was trapped. Her eyes darted around the kitchen. Her bottom lip trapped between her teeth.

She was driving me crazy without even really doing anything.

“Say. My. Name.” I ordered.

I used my thumb to pull her lip from her teeth.

The rise and fall of her chest was more visible.

“Say it.”

Her lips parted and in the softest voice she spoke. “Gabriel.”

It took everything in me not to slam her against the wall and claim her lips as mine. I closed my eyes to hold myself back. When I opened them again I moved away from her, giving us the much needed breathing room.

“Good night, Brianna.”

I turned on my heel and left the kitchen without glancing back at her.

Shit. Shit. Shit.

I had teetered on the line tonight. I had played with fire and had been milliseconds from getting burned.

This could never happen again.

GROWING TENSIONS

Brianna

His knuckles trailed the length of my jaw sending tingles up and down my spine. I was surrounded by his scent. Expensive leather and spice.

It was tantalizingly addictive.

Our breaths mingled together as our faces drew closer to each other. With each inch that disappeared the anticipation grew more intense.

His hand came to cup my face and I leaned into his touch. I wanted to drown in him. To be immersed in this sensation forever.

“Anna.” He spoke my name so quietly it almost sounded like a plea.

No one had called me that since my father. It was a name I had once hated but when he said it, I wanted to hear it more and more. It rolled off his tongue beautifully and ignited my senses.

He drew his lips closer to mine, bringing them a whisker hair away.

All I needed to do now was lean forward and I would be kissing him.
