“Yeah, yeah, I know.” I shrugged. “Ah, well. I’ll think about that later.”
“And you’ll tell me everything later, too, right? But first, I bet you want to hurry home after work.” She winked at me, and I rolled my eyes, blushing.
A few hours later, we headed to his house, and my heart hammered away in my chest. We’d slept together before, but now it was going to be unlike anything else I’d experienced. Jason had been kind enough to offer to babysit Camilla for the night, and so it would just be us.
When we got in, a little awkwardness settled over us, and Brad went to the wine cabinet.
“Wine?” He asked, and I nodded.
As he poured, I came up behind him. “But first,” I said, turning him around, and I found him grinning at me.
“Right.” He put down the wine, and he picked me up, heading right to the bedroom.
I shrieked with surprise, but my mouth was soon busy after that. Inside his immaculate bedroom, I practically tore off my clothes, and I pulled him down over me, wanting to feel the weight of him, pressing me into the bed.
Leaning above me, he said, “This first one will be quick because it’s all I could think about all day, but I’ll make it up to you later. We have all night.”
I nodded, pulling him back to my mouth and leaning my hips up. He entered me swiftly and hard, just like I wanted him too. When he started moving, I moaned into his mouth as he angled my hips, knowing exactly where to hit.
His hands held me down as he thrust into me. Mixed with the most incredible pleasure was the greatest happiness. I loved this man, and I stared into his eyes, so thankful for everything.
“Yes!” I cried as he moved even faster, leaning down over me, our bodies focused only on each other’s pleasure.
My nails raked down the taut muscles of his back, and I wrapped my legs tightly around his hips, pleasure building as he hit my G-spot again and again. My orgasm came suddenly and with a roar, singing through my blood and across every muscle. As my grip on him weakened, he kept thrusting until he came as well, and he kissed me as our bodies shook together.
“Christ,” he said when he finally turned to lay next to me, pulling me closer. “I know this sounds like a line, but it has never been as good with anyone as it has been with you, Cassie.” He kissed my neck, and I smiled, enjoying the feel of his arms around me.
“You too, Brad. And I’m not just making it up.” I put my hand over his.
He breathed a sigh of relief. “Good. I was going to have to feel bad if my son was better than me. Guess we’d better get that out there right in the beginning.”
I laughed then, hard, and loud. “Yeah, don’t worry. And it might be a little weird for a while, but I don’t want it to be. I love you. I want you.” I turned around to face him, tracing a finger along his perfect jaw. “But I do think that I should probably start looking for other jobs.”
He chuckled, pulling me close, laying a soft kiss on my lips.
A few weeks later, Brad, Camilla, and I were looking at the empty rooms of my two roommates. Sadie had just moved out, and we were coming up to check on the last few things. Everyone else was downstairs.
“All good?” Brad asked, rubbing my back, and Camilla took my hand.
“Yeah, it’s a good thing. It’ll be different, and it’s the end of an era, but I’m happy. I really am. All thanks to you, little Miss,” I said, leaning down to give Camilla a squeeze.
She giggled and kissed me on the cheek. “I’m glad you’re here with us, Cassie.”
“Me too.”
“Don’t I get a hug or kiss?” Brad asked, and I turned around to do just that.
“Come on, let’s go to dinner, and Camilla, we’re going to do a little karaoke if you want! I wanted to surprise you!”
“Yay!” Camilla sped out the door first and down the stairs while Brad and I followed hand in hand.
When we got outside, I saw my friends all lining up by their cars, watching us with big grins on their faces.
“What’s going on?” I asked, looking at them all with a frown.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Brad get down on one knee, and I sucked in a breath, stepping back a little.
“What?” I asked, surprised that he was doing this.
