He hid his smile. “Yes, but you’re going to be naked around me a lot. All you have to do is trust me.”
“What if you think I’m ugly?” she asked.
“That’s not possible. I guarantee that.”
She stared at him for a moment and then dropped her arms.
“You are such a good girl.” He unbuttoned her quickly and slid off her sandals and skirt before taking her bra and panties off.
He could feel a drop of sweat roll down his back. “You are so fucking beautiful.”
She stood there, blushing and waiting for him.
“Let’s get you into the shower. I’ll be right out here with a towel.”
“Okay,” she said. The shower door closed.
He turned to find a towel and her nightgown. It was something she wouldn’t need when they got home, but at the moment, he didn’t want to push her anymore. She’d been through an emotional roller coaster, and she needed rest.
Chapter Six
Tessa finished in the shower and turned off the water. She saw Nate’s silhouette outside the shower door and hesitated to open it.
“Come on, baby.”
She sighed and slid the door open. She crossed her arms over her chest. His expression softened when he saw how embarrassed she was.
He wrapped the towel around her and lifted her out of the shower. She shivered with his hands all over her, drying her thoroughly. When he pulled the nightgown over her head, she relaxed.
“How about you brush your teeth?” he said.
“What are you going to do? Are you going to the hotel?”
He smiled. “I’m not ever going to leave you alone, baby.”
“Then where are you going to sleep? I can remake my mom’s bed.”
“You have a queen-size bed, right?” he asked
“Yes.”
“I’ll fit just fine for a night.”
Her breath caught in her chest, and her eyes widened. “Y-you’re going to sleep with me?”
Nate cupped her face in his hands. “There will never be another night we sleep apart.”
“Oh.”
“Are you still okay with that?”
She nodded. She was actually hoping he wouldn’t leave her alone but was afraid to ask.
“Okay, good. Brush your teeth and get into bed. I’ll be right there.”
“Okay.” She started brushing her teeth when the shower turned back on. She watched him slowly undress, and when hewas naked, her eyes widened, and she started choking on the paste. The man had zero modesty. Oh, God, he was built. She didn’t think she’d ever get sick of looking at him.
He just chuckled. “Get used to seeing me naked, too.”
