“What’s your name?” some redheaded woman asked.

“Rose Ruthers,” she said and the redhead gave a nod to the guy who escorted her. Rose noted two women getting their hair and makeup done, then another two women arrived.

The redhead looked her over, then placed her fingers under her chin and tilted it up.

“Very nice. Mr. Lenotz said you were exceptional. We will see. I understand that you’ve never done this before.”

“No, ma’am.”

She gave a nod. “My name is Elga. I run everything for Mr. Lenotz when it comes to training his jewelry models. If you do well, listen, and follow my instructions then you will be quite happy at the end of the night with your pay. I don’t think you need a lot of makeup. You have a natural beauty about you, but your eyes are incredible and we could bring that out more, especially focus on the emeralds and other fine jewels in that color pallet. Okay, let’s start with hair and makeup.”

She turned around and snapped her fingers.

“Daisy, this is Rose. Keep her as natural as possible but make those gorgeous green eyes of hers pop.”

The woman Daisy waved Rose over and she glanced at the other women who gave her nods and little smiles.

“Hi,” she said.

“Hi,” one of the others said to her. As she sat there and let this woman do her hair and then her makeup, she actually enjoyed it. When she was done and Daisy turned her toward the mirror, Rose’s mouth gaped open.

“How did you do that?” she asked, leaning closer. Daisy smiled.

“It’s easy. I’ll show you how so you can do it yourself when you go out at night and want to snag a hot guy,” Daisy said and the others chuckled.

“I could use you on a regular basis. I’ve been in a dry streak,” one of the other models added.

“Me, too. Guys are such jerks. They just want sex.”

“Don’t they all?” Elga said.

“Now wardrobe. I’ve put aside five dresses and your names on doors to the dressing stations. You’ll each wear these dresses for two hours and then come back here, have a twenty-minute break, and then wear another dress. Then for the last hour you will return and the lingerie you each will be wearing will be hung up behind your curtain,” Elga told them.

“Excuse me, did you say lingerie?” Rose asked.

“Yes, but I can assure you, Rose, that it isn’t anything trashy. On the contrary, all of the items are from Europe, and the Italian designer who created each outfit is a personal friend of Mr. Lenotz. Every jewel on the lingerie is real, and I can assure you that you will love wearing a million dollars in authentic jewels.”

“A million dollars?” one of the other women stated aloud and they all gasped and looked excited. Rose felt sick.

“I don’t know about this,” Rose said.

“Relax, you will love what Mulgoff picked out for you,” she said, but Rose didn’t like the way she said that. Hell, part of Rose felt that maybe Mulgoff was hitting on her. Shit.

As they entered the room with the portable changing stations each one had an assistant to help them get dressed. Daisy was there to help Rose.

“You are very lucky indeed. Elga has chosen the best and most expensive designer gowns for you to wear. Your body is exceptional and it will look stunning on you,” Daisy said and opened the curtain. Rose had never seen anything like it. Sheer and silk, low cut in the front and the back, plus a long slit up the thigh to nearly her hip, there was no room for undergarments.

“Jesus,” she whispered but when she felt the material she couldn’t get over it.

“A five-thousand-dollar dress, love. Let’s get you in it.”

“I think it may be a size too small.”

“Nope, done so that your large breasts hold the top up perfectly and the jewels fall between the cleavage. Very sexy, and appealing to the eyes. The buyers will be fighting over you.”

“I’m not for sale though.”

“Of course not, but they see the whole package and they want to recreate it with their own women. Just be polite no matter what, and if by chance any of the men get fresh, wave over one of the guards. Not the hotel security though. They’re there for other reasons.”
