“But does it have to be so much?”
Now we were looking across the room at one another. Leandro was taller than me by a couple of inches, and even from afar, I was somehow looking up to him.
He was incredibly gorgeous at all times. His dark hair had started to gray before we met, but it only added to his charm. He had bright, focused honey eyes and a sharp smile. I wouldn’t call him a fitness buff, but he loved to run. And his body was perfectly lean because of it.
“I won’t promise anything, but I can try to cut back on the trips and delegate some of the long-distance work.”
That was a first. He had never offered this before, and I had to admit, it made me a little excited.
“I have to take this trip, though. And my itinerary is full through the summer. I will try, Matt. I will,” he said as he took a step toward me. As he rounded the bed, he pushed his suitcase over and sat down.
I nodded along, then I stood there for a moment until I felt the urge to go sit by him.
“I’ll be gone early, but you can go get those banana crepes you love downtown, then hit the spa for a nice relaxing day. It’ll be good to have a little quiet around here after all this arguing.”
“I don’t mean to argue,” I said almost instinctively.
“No, I know. All couples go through this.” He took my hand in his and held it in his lap.
“The whole summer,” I mumbled.
Leandro raised one hand to my face and caressed my cheek. Then he dropped his hand as he took in a long breath. “Of course,” he said with newfound brightness in his tone. “You don’t have to be alone if you don’t want to.”
“Not this again.”
“Yes, Matt. The sugar baby.”
“I can’t. It’s cheating.” And it was taking the easy way out. Just like all the gifts and luxury things Leandro always threw at me to keep me happy.
“No,” he said with a smile and then he laughed. “If I’m telling you to get one, that means I’m okay with it.” He gave my hand a light squeeze, then he said, “As long as it’s a female. I bet I won’t even see her that much.”
“And if you do?” I faced him with a raised brow. “What if you walk in on us?”
“What if I do?” he shrugged. “Matt, if I had your permission, what would you do?”
“Honestly, I’d join you,” I smiled at the thought. Leandro caressing the woman’s breasts as she sucked his cock, me deep between her legs holding tight to her ass.
Leandro laughed. “See, sounds nice, right?”
It was like he could read my mind. That or we both had the same fantasies.
“Who knows? If it bothers you, maybe she can just be a friend to hang out with.”
“I don’t need to pay people to be my friends.”
“No, I didn’t mean it that way. I just meant… maybe you can help some less fortunate young woman out. How about that?”
I drew in a deep breath.
“Here…” He let go of my hand and got up from the bed. He grabbed his phone from the nightstand and came back. “I saved the website. It’s secure, entirely private, and the sugar babies are adorable.”
I had to laugh at his words. We were both bisexual, so women were never off the table, but after being with Leandro for the past few years, it seemed strange to think of having a woman in my life. Especially as a potentially intimate partner.
“Are you sure?” I said as I took his phone in hand.
“If it will make you happy while I’m away, absolutely.”
I scanned through a few images, but nothing popped out. “I don’t know.” I went to hand him the phone back, but he pushed it back toward me.
“Let’s just make an account.”
I clenched my jaw.
“Come on. There’s no commitment in signing up. You can use the account to scan through pics tomorrow while I’m gone.”
I wasn’t sure what I wanted right then aside from keeping my relationship with Leandro. I couldn’t stay there alone waiting for him to return all the time, and he didn’t want me to leave. So, I took the phone from his hand, and I clicked the sign-up option.
JOURDANNE
Jourdanne
Early the following morning, I set up breakfast and rang the guests. They came to the big gathering room to eat and have coffee while I did some light cleaning.
“Hey, Dad,” I rounded the kitchen and met him in his office. He was going through the invoices on his computer and typing numbers on the calculator. He didn’t even hear me come in. “Dad?” I gave a little laugh. “Everything okay?”
“Oh, beetle.” He turned in his chair and faced me with a tired smile. I could see he’d been up going through the finances from before dawn. He never was a late sleeper. “I didn’t see you there.”
