He tugged me onto his lap. “Just like us.”
“Yeah, just like us.” I turned my head, ready for his kiss. It had only been a few months since we’d met, but I knew without a doubt we’d been placed in each other’s path for a reason.
“You ever wonder where we’d be today if Dizzy Jizzy hadn’t broken into your house?” Bison mumbled against my neck.
“I’d probably be living as a fugitive in Tahiti with my picture plastered to post office walls across the country.”
“I thought the dickhole was going to take you to Fiji,” Bison said.
“No, Bali. I’m pretty sure he’d said Bali. If it had been Fiji, I might have decided to go with him,” I teased.
Bison scraped his chin whiskers over my shoulder. “Really? You’d rather live in Fiji with a fugitive than sit on a dirty laundry room floor with me?”
“No, baby. I’d rather be anywhere with you. Take me to the moon, the Caribbean, or just take me for a walk down the street. I love you. Wherever you go is where I want to be.”
“I love you, too, Princess.” He gripped my hand and tugged me to my feet. “Come outside with me. I’ve got a surprise for you out back.”
“What kind of surprise?”
“You’ll see.” He pulled me into the garage where his brother Fuse had just pulled in on Bison’s ride. At least it looked like Bison’s ride. There was something different about it, something I couldn’t quite place.
I walked around the side and stopped. “What did you do to your bike?”
His smile stretched from ear to ear. “I added a sidecar.”
“You don’t want me to ride behind you anymore?” Since our first ride together, we’d taken several trips throughout the Texas Hill Country. I thought he enjoyed it as much as I did, but now I worried I’d been wrong.
“Hell yeah, I want you riding behind me. Having my ass sandwiched between your thighs is my second favorite place to be.”
“What’s your first?”
“One question at a time, Princess. The sidecar’s for our growing family. You said you felt bad that we couldn’t bring Hippolyta along since she wouldn’t fit in a harness. Now we can have Dizzy Jizzy and Hippolyta and even have room for whichever puppy we decide to keep.” Anyone else looking at the big lug with the tats and the bulging muscles would think he was a hard ass. I was so grateful I’d taken the time to get to know the giant softie inside.
“I love it.”
Fuse tossed the keys to Bison. “Y’all care if I take a peek at the puppies while I’m here?”
“Go ahead.” Bison nodded toward the back door. “Let me know if you need me to tell you where puppies come from, okay little brother?”
Fuse waved with his middle finger as he disappeared inside the house.
“Are you going to answer my second question now?” I sidled up next to my man and thrust my hands into the front pockets of his jeans.
“You’ve got me a little distracted, Princess.” He wrapped his arms around my back and cupped my ass. “Remind me what you were asking.”
Leaning my head back, I stared up at the man who’d taught me what love could be. “I asked where your first favorite place is to be.”
“Oh, that’s right. It’s a tough call, but it comes down to a three-way tie.”
“A tie?”
“Yeah.” His lips pressed kisses against my neck. “I can’t decide between having my face between your thighs, looking up at you while you ride my cock like a bareback rider at a fucking rodeo, or taking you from behind so I can play with your tits and still get you off by stroking your clit.”
“Oh my, those are three very good options. Maybe later on tonight we ought to have a showdown and you can try all of them to see which one you like the best.”
“Maybe later on tonight isn’t soon enough for me.” He swept me up in his arms and carried me through the back door. “Fuse, keep an eye on the labor and delivery for a few minutes?”
“Yeah, I can do that.”
Bison passed into the kitchen and headed for the stairs. I was glad we’d decided to keep his grandmother’s house and sell the one across the street instead. As much as this place felt like home, I meant what I’d told him before. My place was with him. Wherever he went was where I wanted to be. And our life together was just getting started.
