“No, daddy. It’s raw raw rawwwww, not ra ra raaaaa.”

I lean against the door frame, hand on my swollen belly, watching Lucas oblige our five-year-old daughter.

“Raw raw… rawwwww.” He pounces from his cave and chases her.

Ava squeals in delight and runs around the couch until she notices me. “Mommy!”

Her tiny hands come around my waist, and she presses her cheek to my belly. “Hello, baby brother.”

I smile at my black curly haired baby, a mini version of her father. “He could be a girl.”“He’s not,” Ava says confidently. She smacks a kiss on my belly and then tells me about the spell she cast on daddy.

“Can I watch t.v.?”

“Okay, but only for a little while. We’re going to Molly’s house for dinner.”

“Yessss,” Ava fist bumps the air, then skips down the hall toward the entertainment room.”

Lucas walks toward me, looking more like a clown than a monster.

“Very sexy.” I grin.

“Glitter does it for you?” I drag my finger across his bottom lip, wiping away traces of sparkle and imagining his mouth on mine. “It is right now.”

He nips at my finger, then rakes his eyes down my body, feasting on me like I’ve stepped off the cover of a magazine, not out of the halls of a hospital with swollen feet and in desperate need of a shower.

I shift from one foot to the other, feeling the effects of being on my feet all day and eight months pregnant.

He drops to his knees and picks up one of my feet, slowly rubbing away the tension. “It might be time to go on maternity leave.”

I should take leave, put my feet up and relax until the baby arrives. But as tired and uncomfortable as I am, I love being at the hospital every day. “One more week.”

He looks like he wants to argue but decides against it. Instead, he lowers my foot to the floor and slides his palms up my thighs. “Then we better find a way for you to relax.”

Hormones have made me overly sensitive to his touch, and seeing him on his knees in front of me, switches me from tired to turned on instantly.

But it isn’t the right time. “I have to put together a salad and bake brownies to take to the family dinner.”

He slowly rises, letting his palms lazily glide up my body. “Already taken care of.”

He steps behind me and nips my ear. “I’ve been thinking about this all day.”

He palms my breast and thrusts his erection against my ass.

I let my head fall back onto his shoulders, giving in to the burning desire in my veins for a moment. “Ava…”

“Won’t come looking for us for at least… “ He tilts his head toward the media room, hearing the streams of Ava’s favorite cartoon from the other end of the hall, “Twelve minutes.”

He circles one nipple until it hardens. A jolt of arousal tightens low in my belly.

His other hand slides down my swollen belly until he finds the elastic waist of my pants and dips inside. His fingers find me slick and waiting.

“Ava might walk in.” It’s barely a protest, my body already caving to the promises Lucas’ fingers are making.

“Not while there is a singing elephant on the screen.” He argues but pulls me behind the safety of a wall.

He spins me toward it and places my palms flat against it, exposing me to his exploration. He slips a hand under my shirt, finds my bra, and tugs it down until my nipple pops out.

He squeezes and releases, just the way I like, sending a flood of wetness into my panties.
