It was Lucas dragging me out of the house when all I wanted to do was sleep away the nightmare my life had become. He gave me the courage to remember who I used to be and all the dreams I had before Ben.

Lucas helped me understand that a failed marriage didn't define me.

Lucas is why I'm moving across the country and pursuing the life I gave up—even if he doesn't know it.

One knock sounds on my door, sending my pulse into a sprint.

My legs tremble, nerves making it impossible to walk. "You were brave enough to ask—now be brave enough to take."

Anticipation pushes me to my feet, locks my fingers around the handle, and opens the door.

Lucas's slow smile immediately calms my rapid heartbeat but starts a new, intoxicating beat between my thighs.

How can one person comfort and unnerve me at the same time?

"Hello, beautiful." William stands behind Lucas.

I shouldn't be shocked—they regularly hook up—but seeing William reminds me of Lucas's casual, commitment-free lifestyle.

Even if I want to start something with Lucas, it won't work.

It's the reminder I need, reinforcing my decision and determination never to change my life for a man again—no matter how he makes me feel.

“Avril,” William purrs. He steps around Lucas and reaches for my hand, brushing a seductive kiss over my palm.

His eyes rake down my body like a man who's seen what's beneath my clothes.

I was lonely when Ben left and unwilling to admit my feelings for Lucas. William solved both problems but didn't lessen my desire for my husband's best friend.

I step to the side, opening the door wider to allow William to enter. Lucas follows, but instead of walking into the room, he steps into my space. Our chests press together, my soft curves flush against his solid muscles.

He smells like me. The heady scent of our attraction makes my tummy flutter and my thighs press together.

For a moment, William is forgotten as Lucas's gaze drops to my mouth. One tilt of my chin and our lips will touch.

I step back.

A look passes over his face too quickly to recognize before his usual flirty smile is back. He snakes a hand around my back and gives my ass a playful slap before striding further into the room and shrugging out of his jacket. "Are you ready for us?"

His forwardness takes me by surprise, and what little air remains in my lungs bursts out in a sudden rush, leaving me breathless.

Lucas stalks toward me, reaches over my shoulder to push the door shut, and traps me between it and his body. "Don't get shy now. You want this."

Two tall, muscled, and undeniably sexy men willing to fulfill a wild fantasy I never dreamed would happen—yes, I want this.

A smile plays at the corner of Lucas's mouth as he pushes himself away from the door and walks toward William.

William reaches for him, and their mouths collide, but Lucas's eyes open mid-kiss and lock on mine.

Arousal tingles up my spine as Lucas watches me, every stroke of his tongue growing bolder as my resistance weakens.

I snatch my fingers away from my mouth, too caught up in Lucas's kiss to realize I was picturing his lips on mine instead of William's.

Metal clinks and distracts me from the uninvited thought. I focus on William's fingers unbuckling Lucas's belt. He tugs it open, drags the zipper down, and drops to his knees.

Lucas arches his brow as he watches my reaction. His smile is cocky, but the wildness in his eyes tells me this isn't just about fulfilling my fantasy; Lucas wants me to watch.

His smile quickly drops, and his teeth bite into his bottom lip. Lucas grips the back of William's head as his mouth slides down Lucas' shaft.
