Marc

“Marc,” I breathe through a constricted throat. “That’s so…”

I don’t even have a big enough word.

Sweet? Kind? Beautiful? No words feel big enough.

“Thank you.” I drop my quivering chin, trying to dry up the tears sitting on my lashes.

Clearing my throat, I take a drink.

He strokes my shoulder and lays a kiss on it, then lays another to my neck. “Are you okay?”

I lean my head against his, closing my eyes as I enjoy his attention.

“Gracie?” he asks, pulling me from my daze.

I open my eyes, but don’t move my position, so he continues his trail of kisses. The heat gives me the promise of what’s coming later. “Yeah, let’s keep playing.”

He lifts his mouth from my neck, and a moan leaves me at the loss. Narrowing his eyes at me, he looks between the two, trying to read my face. “Are you sure?”

“Yes,” I say, smiling. I’m so happy in this moment; I don’t have many words to describe it.

He turns to sip his drink, and when his mouth returns to my neck, I gasp, feeling ice coldness. I swallow hard as he drags it slowly up and down, and I can’t believe he is doing this here. I squirm when he hits my ear, chewing on the ice as he asks, “Truth or dare?”

“Truth,” I choke out, unable to speak evenly. My thighs quiver with need and the ache from my chest hits me between my thighs. I just want to get out of here and be together before holding each other until the sun rises.

“What part of your body do you want to be kissed again and again?” He bites on my earlobe, and I hiss.

I sit there watching him and think about it.

Touching my neck just under my ear, I remember how much I shudder whenever he kisses me there. And how I miss his mouth already, even though he’s been kissing it for ages. I still crave it more, so the answer is easy.

“Here.”

He leans forward, and my breath hitches when his lips hit that exact spot. And he whispers, “Here?”

I mumble incoherent words. Knowing my neck is getting sensitive from his beard, and I’m flushed from how he makes me feel. The combination is indescribable. But he sits there, unaffected, while I’m a hot mess. I need to put the conversation back to a safe zone in order to get through the night.

“Truth or dare?”

He answers with amusement in his eyes, and I see a twinkle of heat. I bet his mind is there, but what he doesn’t know that whatever he chooses, I’m going for fun. “Truth.”

I’m laughing before I begin speaking, and watch as he scrunches up his face up, confused. I try to take a deep, long breath to steady myself. “Have you ever tried to lick your nose using your tongue?”

He grabs his drink, laughing. “No, and what kind of question was that?”

“What? Never?” I say, ignoring the other part of the question. I’m sure if I told him I was horny, he would throw me over his shoulder and take me home, but I want to have fun tonight.

He shakes his head in a no.

“Well, come on, and try now,” I say, trying to do it and failing miserably.

His face drops, and a chuckle comes out. “You are crazy.” But for me, he tries and also fails.

We chuckle loudly together, and both take a drink, draining our glasses.

“Last one, and that’s it,” he warns, and the way he says it sends a shiver through me.
