“And the reason my heart beats.”
“Ryker,” she says again, softer this time.
“I’m getting her pregnant again tonight, sunshine.”
She moans, melting into me like butter. “Yes.”
“It wasn’t a question. I’m getting you pregnant for graduation. We both know you want it more than the other present I got you,” I murmur. The other present is a platinum necklace with a pendant shaped like the sun. A single South Sea pearl nestles inside.
“You could start now,” she suggests, as tempting as ever.
I don’t have to answer. Rory does it for me. He lets out a loud wail.
“Darn,” she says, making me chuckle. The horny minx.
“Tonight,” I growl, nipping her throat. “Get ready to go, sunshine. I’ll get our boy.”
“Okay. I love you, Ryker.”
“I love you, sunshine.” I press my lips to her forehead, lingering for a moment as I breathe her in. “Every damn piece of you.”
“Lucky me,” she breathes.
EPILOGUE TWO
FRANCESCA
Five Years Later
“Holy cow.” Scarlett gasps when I waddle into Gatsby Books. The adorable little old-fashioned book store is one of my favorite places to visit in Silver Spoon Falls. Especially since my overprotective MHM won’t let me do much more than sit on my rear end and read this late in my pregnancy. “You look like you’re about to pop.” No kidding. I’m like forty months, I mean weeks, pregnant, and this baby isn’t cooperating. I’ve been ready to evict our first daughter for two weeks, but she’s ignoring all my attempts. I keep my fingers crossed that this is my last book club meeting before my little princess comes.
“I know.” I sigh and make my way over to the circle of chairs. Jules and Amelia stare back at me with matching expressions of pity on their faces. It’s an effort, but I manage to finagle myself into the chair set up for me. My friends piled cushions in the large chair and even found a stool for my swollen feet. This far along, standing on my feet for any amount of time sucks. “Who ever heard of going overdue with your fourth child? I should’ve had this baby two weeks ago.” I drop my bag on the ground and turn to grumble.
“Leave it to your first baby girl to be the stubborn one.” Jules winces and sits in the chair on my right. “Dillon is pissed that he didn’t win the pool. His pick was last night at two a.m.” She rolls her eyes. “I’m supposed to pick up a few new tricks at the book club tonight to ease his disappointment.” All the men started ababy birthdaybetting pool weeks ago. Between the Silver Spoon MC members and their other wealthy friends, the freaking pot is astronomical. Like college tuition size. The men in Silver Spoon Falls don't know the meaning of moderation.
“Believe me,” I growl and rub my distended tummy. “No one wants this baby out more than me.” Except for my husband. He’s in his overprotective caveman phase of my pregnancy.
Tonight is the night, I promise myself. I’m planning to handcuff my husband to the bed and have my way with him until this baby gets the message. A down-and-dirty bedroom workout might just be what I need to get our baby girl moving. After all, I’ve already tried all my friends’ other suggestions, and nothing has worked. I’m out of ideas and at the end of my rope.
“This book is the one.” Scarlett hands me a paperback book. “One of our customers recommended it, so I tried it out.” She fans herself with the book. “Holy cow, one chapter in and I was already sweating.” This sounds promising. I flip through the first few pages and see my friend isn’t exaggerating. “Halfway through, I needed a freaking cigarette.”
“You don’t smoke, so this must be one hot little read.” Jules laughs at the silly expression on Scarlett’s face.
“Wait until you read this book, you’ll see.” I’m dying to read a few chapters and see if my friend is right.
While the other ladies discuss last week’s book, I skim through the new book. Oh my. This could totally work. Now, I’m anxious for the meeting to end so I can put my plan into action.
* * *
“How was the book club?” Razor stands in the bathroom doorway watching me brush my teeth. While I showered, he read the boys a few stories and did our usual bedtime ritual of three last-minute trips to the bathroom followed by a second round of checking under their beds for monsters.
I glance into the mirror and let my gaze roam over his naked chest and towel-wrapped hips. The pregnancy hormones kick into overdrive, causing me to squirm as hunger soars through my blood.
“Huh?” I blink several times, trying to get my sluggish pregnancy-influenced mind to function.
I meet his eyes in the mirror and see humor swirling in their ocean-blue depths. “The book club? Learning anything useful?” He smirks and reaches for the navy-blue towel wrapped around his waist and drops it to the floor. My brain shuts off completely as I stare at his jutting erection.
Ryker steps into the bathroom and wraps his arms around me from behind. I feel his rock-hard cock brush against my rear end, and all my discomfort evaporates. I reach behind my back and wrap my hand around his shaft. “Fuck,” he hisses against the back of my neck. “Tighter.” I follow his orders and squeeze his cock while running my finger through the wetness dripping from the tip.
