“I can’t believe this. I knew I felt something different with you,” she said, shaking her head. “You’re an actual werewolf?”
“Yes,” I said. “You were on the pill for too damn long, suppressing your wolf side. But now you're in danger of going into heat.”
“What? How is being horny dangerous?”
“Just promise me that if you start hurting, you'll let me know,” I said.
“Okay,” she answered after some hesitation.
“I’ll see you around,” I said, turning away from her soft brown eyes before I fucked her senseless. I opened the door. A blond lady with a ridiculous purple outfit walked into the room, her eyes wide as she looked between Tiana and I.
She was speechless.
I chuckled as I left the room.
Chapter 7
Tiana
“Ohmy, whatjusthappened?” asked Lori with a wink.
“Nothing,” I said quickly, sinking into my bed, wondering that myself.Did it really happen?Did Grant just finger me?!
I buried my face in the pillow, mortified as hell. Then I turned to face her.
“You are so lying. Tell me,” Lori asked eagerly, plopping on her bed cross-legged. I could see cookie crumbs on the knees of her purple leggings. “Tiana, if you don’t tell me…I swear to God.”
I was tongue-tied. I didn’t know what to tell her exactly. I couldn’t tell her the truth without revealing what I was. That I was some kind of mysterious omega werewolf.
She would run screaming.
“I…we kissed,” I lied.
“Oh my,” she said, staring at me in fascination. “I’m so happy for you! And he’s hot as fuck on top of that.”
“Um, thanks,” I laughed softly. I still couldn’t process what had happened. Why did I allow that to happen? How did I let my body take control like that? To open myself to him so easily shocked me senseless.
“Now you have a date for tomorrow’s wedding ceremony,” said Lori. “I talked with the hot captain while I ate lunch upstairs.”
“Yay, Lori!” I said.
“Look at us finally getting out of our shells,” she said. “So what’s your man like?”
“He’s not my man, technically,” I said. “But he’s gorgeous and so manly. I don’t know if he thinks this is serious or just a little fling.”
“Just have fun on the trip,” said Lori. “No expectations. Flirt and have fun. That’s what I’m doing.”
“What are you wearing for the wedding tomorrow?”
“I don’t know,” said Lori, and I chuckled.
We laughed and talked about her cousin. The wedding. And her cousin again, and how much Lori disliked her. I munched on potato chips since I was starting to feel a little sick from the rocking ship.
“I think I should call my mom,” I said, throwing the empty bag of chips into the bin. I looked out the little window above us, seeing the twinkling stars. I felt like I missed my parents a little, and they were probably freaking out since I never spent the night away from home.
“Maybe you should,” said Lori. “I cut my mom off years ago, but I don’t want that to happen to you.”
“Alright then,” I said, grabbing my phone.
