“Yeah? Do you think you understand the concept of family now that you’ve been living with dragons for this long? Now that you’re about to have your own little tiny family?” He placed his hand on her baby bump, laughing softly.

She joined in on his laughter, though hers was more of a giggle. “I have been more welcomed, loved, and appreciated than ever before. I almost don’t understand how the dragons can be so warm.”

“It’s the fire in our breath.”

She shot him a look, trying to hide her smile at his cheesy joke, but he knew her too well now not to notice. “Is that why you’re so hot? Why I’m attracted to you? Because there is a dragon living in your brain? Has this all been some trick to make me fall in love with your dragon?”

“Elaborate trick? Yes, but it wasn’t mine.”

Alice nodded her agreement. “It’s because of Portia and Lou. If it wasn’t for the resort and Portia’s insistence that I help you, who knows where we would be right now?”

“Well, I think that’s fairly simple. I would be dead. You brought me back to life with your magic and mere presence.”

“AndIthink that you’re rewriting history there, mister. You weren’t dead. I didn’t bring you back to life. That’s not magic that I can actually do. I just helped the healing along.”

“The point stands,” he argued, lying next to her. “You saved me. God knows what would have happened to me if you hadn’t come along. I would probably have died, lost my arm, or at the very least, I wouldn’t be able to fly anymore.”

“You always give me so much credit.”

“That’s because you deserve it, wife.” Cooper kissed her softly, and Alice forgot what they had been talking about. Cooper always kissed her like it was the only thing he was born to do in this life. When he added his exploring hands to the mix, it was almost too much for Alice to bear. She arched up into him, bucking her hips against his erection. He groaned into her mouth. “Alice, love, you’re gonna make me lose my damn mind.”

She giggled. “I don’t see anything wrong with that if I help you find it again once we’re done.” She arched into him again to prove her point.

He pinned her hips down on the couch, and he lifted away, hovering just out of reach. She growled in disappointment like a tiny little dragon lady, but Cooper only chuckled. “So impatient, love. So very impatient. We’ll get to that part soon enough, but before we do, there’s something I need to ask you.”

Alice was bold, and she didn’t really care what he had to ask her. She placed her hands under the hem of Cooper’s shirt, and she dragged her fingers up and down his torso until her hands could dig into his pants. Above her, he hissed out a breath.

“Alice,” he warned, his composure was about to snap.

She didn’t care. She loved it when her big strong dragon lost control because of her. She felt so wonderful anytime she managed to make her man go over the edge. Their connection was hotter than his flames, and they would burn as bright and warm for as long as Cooper lived. Alice could feel that to her very soul.

It didn’t matter that they were still technically newlywedsandexpecting a child. A couple who hadn’t actually taken the time to date like other couples, but they weren’t like other couples. She was a witch, and he was a dragon. They were bound to have their own twist on life’s events.

“Alice,” Cooper warned again, but he reached for her hands and removed them from his pants this time. “I’m trying to be serious here.”

She pouted. “Oh? What?”

“Well, this is kinda important.” Cooper removed himself from her and sat on the farthest part of the couch.

Alice smiled at him. “Must be serious if you’re looking like that. You look like a kid who has to tell his mean mom that he broke a vase.”

“Hardly.” He threw his head back with a laugh. “It’s nerves that you’re sensing.”

“Nerves?” she wondered. “Why would you be nervous, husband?” Alice crawled over to his side of the sofa, and she straddled him on the couch. She quickly removed her dress…a little pink number that was easy to pull over her head. The matching lace pink bra and thong hardly kept her lady bits covered, and her hardened nipples tried to break free from the lace of the bra. Cooper noticed.

His eyes went wide while his mouth watered. He closed a hand on one breast, tweaking the nipple between his fingers. Alice arched into him again, but this time, their new angle meant that his hard cock rubbed against her most intimate part. The friction was dulled thanks to his clothes and her thong, but it was such a wonderful teasing sensation that Alice didn’t stop.

“I’m trying to ask you something, love,” Cooper growled, his voice heavy with lust.

“Ask me later. Ask me after. I want you right now, Cooper.”

“I can’t deny you that, can I?” Cooper somehow managed to remove all his clothes without removing Alice from his lap. He ripped her thong with one hand while the other unclasped her bra. Both nude and panting in lust, they came together.

Alice kissed him with abandon, and he returned the embrace. His tongue explored her mouth, his hands on her hips, guiding her grinding movements. When he closed his mouth around one nipple, Alice stuffed her hands into his hair to keep him completely connected to her.

They continued like this until Alice was a panting mess of need. She reached between them to close her hand around his erection, giving the impressive length one pump and then another. Cooper hissed out a breath, and his eyes rolled into the back of his head.

She positioned him at her entrance before slowly lowering herself onto his length. She didn’t stop until she bottomed out, and he was completely seated within her. Their eyes met, and they began to move in tandem, each setting the perfect rhythm for them to move in unison.
