Cooper threw his head back with a deep belly laugh. “Sex hair? I think I like the challenge of making you come without giving you sex hair.”

His lovely wife giggled. “No way. We’re in a moving car.”

“You heard the part where I said I like a challenge, right?” Cooper didn’t wait for her to respond. He left his seat in the limo John had sent over to the airport for them. He knelt on the car floor right in front of Alice. He smiled up at her. “It doesn’t matter if we’re in a moving car, love. I can still eat like a champ.”

And he did just that, bringing his wife home just as he brought her to orgasm in the back of their limousine.

Cooper heldAlice’s hand in his. Her fingers trembled, and there was a thin layer of sweat between them. He squeezed her fingers and gave her a smile. The entire Dawson dragon thunder was gathered on the manor grounds, waiting to be introduced to their new alpha mate.

Fuck, let them behave, he silently prayed. His dragon’s hope wasn’t nearly as high as his, but that wasn’t helpful, so Cooper ignored his beast’s teasing.

“There you are.” John ran down the curved stairwell, and he didn’t stop until he shared the typical bro hug with Cooper. “You leave on the brink of death, and you come back stronger than ever and with a brand new wife.” John shook his head. “You’re a lucky son of a bitch.” He acknowledged Alice with a bow of his head. “Alpha Mate, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”

“Alice,” she corrected, causing John to laugh.

“Yes, I know your name, but it’s protocol to address you properly before the thunder. I’m John Dawson, this one’s cousin, best friend, and beta. Hell, before you came along, I’m pretty sure I reminded him to sleep every now and again. Though, I’m sure he isn’t getting much sleep.”

“John,” Cooper warned. “Easy.”

“What?” John shrugged innocently. “I was just teasing. Alice gets it. It’s all in good fun.”

“It’s all in good fun until I light your ass on fire.”

“Lou, Hellscape Holiday Resort’s best bartender, makes a drink that will do that for you,” Alice added, not wanting to be outdone.

“Oh?” John asked, grinning. Cooper could only imagine that his friend was pleased that the alpha mate wasn’t a prim and proper bore who would completely alter the way they lived their lives. But really, his wife had never met a challenge she couldn’t face. “And what is this drink called?” John asked.

“Flaming anus,” Alice answered with a giggle.

“Wow! I’m sure that packs a punch. What the hell is in it? What does it taste like?”

“We’ve never had one, actually. But the legend of the drink is spreading far and wide. Lou is a bit of a prankster. He likes to be silly, but he’s a good egg. He helped us get together.”

“He sure did,” Cooper agreed, kissing his wife sweetly.

“Aw, if you two aren’t just the cutest thing. Well, I guess now that I’ve met you, there’s no reason to keep the others waiting. They’re probably going out of their minds already.” He turned to face Alice. “Dragons aren’t exactly known for their patience.”

Alice cast an amused look at her husband, and Cooper rolled his eyes. “Don’t listen to anything John says. He is known to embellish.”

“Whatever you say, Alpha,” John shot over his shoulder on his way to the big glass patio doors. “Ready?” he asked Alice.

“As I’ll ever be,” she responded bravely.

His witch was always the bravest soul in any room. Cooper was so damn proud of her, and now, he only had to make life with him so good that she never wanted to leave him.

With the horde of heathens in his backyard, it would take a miracle.

“Holy shit. She’s a witch.”

“She’s so hot.”

“Good for him.”

“Finally, we’ll have an heir around here.”
