Rem came over toward me with a splotch of blood on her cheek. I reached up without thought and wiped it away. She smiled at me. “I’m thirsty.”

I grabbed the peach soda Hawke had brought me. “Peach okay?”

Luxious, Hawke, and Samson continued beating up the guys. I glanced past Rem, but she grabbed my chin and squatted down. She opened her mouth and looked up at me expectantly.

Fine, she wanted soda. I brought the can to my lips and filled my mouth with the sweet fizzy drink. I stared down at Rem, a smile curving my lips as I held the soda in my mouth. She didn’t move. Her honey-colored eyes focused on me intently. She opened her mouth wider, and I swear my pussy clenched.

I moved closer, pushing my hair behind my ear as I parted my lips and let the soda drip from my mouth into Rem’s. She greedily swallowed, and I was quick to take another full sip and give her more.

Rem licked her lips as she stood. Everything around us for a moment disappeared, and it was just us. That bubble popped as Hawke sauntered over toward me. He was all smiles as he got close.

Hawke’s tongue ran over my lips, cleaning up the remainder of the soda. My heart pounded in my chest, my food forgotten in the wake of desire pouring through me. Rem grabbed my face and brought her lips to mine, kissing me hard. Her tongue tangled with mine, pulling a moan out of me as I succumbed to the shock waves of pleasure.

She pulled back, licking her lips. “I was still thirsty.”

“I want some too.” Hawke pouted.

“She is here to study,” Samson reminded us.

His and Luxious gazes were like caresses against my overheated flesh. They stared at me with blatant hunger. How in the hell was I supposed to think when I’d soaked my panties and couldn’t stop imagining them all having their way with me in the library?I’m a fucking goner.

“Samson, I’m done with the Clarks. have the board choose someone more fitting to run the company.” He smiled at me, and my stupid heart skipped a beat. “Go ahead and send the tip-off to the feds of the embezzlement. Have all assets seized. Clarks will never be worth anything in Aridole again.”

Bolton whimpered on the floor. I realized he not only got his ass beat, but they would destroy his entire family. What the hell had I gotten myself into? These four were far more dangerous than I’d anticipated. They were more like monsters than kings.

“Mac, I’m not going.”

I wanted a single weekend to myself, no recon, no parties, no school, and no kings. I looked around the room just in case. I didn’t put it past any of them not to sneak into my bedroom. They’d find a way. Things were shifting, and hatred wasn’t the only thing there. They all still annoyed the fuck out of me, but desire was winning a lot more lately.

Just remembering what happened in the library on Monday had my face inflamed.

“Everyone is going,” Mac argued, pulling me from my wayward thoughts.

Clearing my throat, I banished all thoughts of the kings. I rolled my eyes as I put him on speaker and went back to searching for something to watch. Everything felt blah, and I’d scrolled through the same list at least ten times. I’d promised to attend his functions, but this wasn’t his. There was no real reason to go but to give the ass hats at Press Prep more shit to talk about.

“Keegan, it’s mandatory.”

“Oh, then I’m for sure not going,” I said, tossing the remote. I plopped back down against the soft bed. Staring up at the ceiling was no better, but I was determined to have a good time.

“Kee, come on,” Mac whined.

“You know, I’m starting to think you don’t have friends. Isn’t Nelly going?”

“Yeah, she will be there, but she started dating Rustle and—”

“And now you’re lonely and want me to join in your misery?”

Mac laughed. “Don’t make it sound like that.”

I rolled over and looked at my closet. “Is it formal?”

“Nope, wear whatever you want.”

There wasn’t anything to do here. I groaned.

“That’s a yes!”

“Don’t sound so excited.” I sat up, shoving my long brown hair out of my face. “Will—” My stomach twisted as I tried to get the question out.
