“You can’t shut me out.” I wipe her tears away. “What just happened was amazing.”
“You’re pretty impressed with yourself, aren’t you?”
“Honestly? Hell yes. I was sure I was gonna come all over your hand. I kept it together for a very long time, considering the circumstances.”
“You want an applause?”

She smiles and bangs her head against my chest then leaves it there.
“When can we do it again?”
She looks up and rolls her eyes.
“Oh no, you don’t. I didn’t get to eat that sweet little pussy yet. But you’re in control here, so—”
“Oh I am, am I?”
“Time and place is all within your control.”
“I’ll text you.”
“You promise?” I don’t give her a chance to answer. Instead, I kiss her; a long, slow kiss.
When I pull back, I wait for her answer.

SPRING
I’m sure there is now a spring to my step, that the smells in the air are all new, that food tastes better, that I look twenty years younger, and that the entire universe is as ready for tomorrow as I am … until it’s been eight hours, and I’ve heard nothing.
