“Like what?” I ask, taking a sip of my wine as they approach.

“Like he wants to eat me for dessert.”

I laugh it off, hoping to God her mom didn’t hear us.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” I whisper back.

“Then you’re blind.”

The whole evening those two keep their focus on me as they make light conversation with the other groomsmen and Porter. I’m keyed up, tense and aroused, and they haven’t touched me for close to an hour now. I just want to be out of here and wherever Colt has planned for us to go.

I watch him roam the room, his broad shoulders and confident stride drawing the gaze of more than one bridesmaid. Spoken for or not, they like what they see. Jealousy spikes in my gut, but I push it aside, he wants me. They both do. And I will finally have them at the same time. No choices. No hurting. Just both men I’ve been in love with since I was in college.

“Can we get out of here now?” he asks as he sidles up to me.

“God, yes,” I murmur. “I think we’ve done our duty for the night.”

His palm rests on my back, just above the curve of my ass. Thumb rubbing along the line of my spine, he leans close. “Come with me.” Then he follows my gaze and sighs. “Don’t worry, he knows where to meet us. We just figured you’d want to keep our arrangement secret.”

He’s not wrong. The last thing I need is my aunt weighing in on who I spend my night with. Every step toward the door has my heart fluttering with anticipation.

“Have fun, Chloe,” Georgia says, wiggling her fingers in a playful wave.

Colt nuzzles my neck and says, “Oh, we will.”

Sean is waiting outside, leaned up against an old Ford truck, looking every inch the dangerous-to-my-heart man he is.

“How did you get out here so fast?” I ask.

He smirks. “I used the back door.” He juts his chin toward the guest house where my room is. “Better get changed. Can’t ride a horse in that dress.”

“Maybe I don’t want to ride a horse.”

The sharp intake of breath from him makes my whole body light up. “Soon you can ride me.”

“And me,” Colt says. “It’s going to be a long night.”

The way he says that is filled with the promise of thrilling touches in the dark, passion and desire, and everything I’ve ever wanted from them.

“Be right back,” I whisper through a tight throat. I turn away from them and dash to my room. Within minutes, I’m changed into my favorite jeans, boots, and a loose button-down flannel shirt. Bounding down the stairs, I beam at them. “Ready!”

Sean changed too, trading his slacks for perfectly fitted jeans and boots. He’s got his hat on too. I’m a sucker for a cowboy in a hat and tight denim.

“You look a thousand times more comfortable,” he says.

“I am.” I run my hands over my denim clad hips. “This is much more my style.”

“You look perfect in anything, darlin’, but comfortable in your own skin is how I always want you.” Colt’s voice makes me shiver with longing. “Get in the truck, I want to see you on horseback in those jeans.”

COLT

Chloe isin her element on the back of a horse. In fact, we all are. We’re all smiles as we take the three young quarter horses along a trail about ten miles from the B & B. They’re broke, but all three of these fillies are full of spirit. Luckily, none of us are strangers to that.

“The scent of warm air and night blooms all mingle around us. It’s perfect.

“The guest house is just over this ridge,” I say.
