Pushing back his seat, Christos makes room so I can slide on his lap. His fingers latch onto my shirt, and he pulls it over my head, breaking away from my mouth to kiss my cleavage. I reach between us and unfasten his belt and pants, pulling his cock free to stroke my fingers over the hard length, already stiff and ready for me.
“I love you, Stacia. I’ve been begging the universe for this moment again. I will not take you for granted. I will stand by your side, no matter what. I love you,” Christos says, pulling my pants down and stretching my legs up to undress me completely.
I lace my arms around his neck and kiss him again, grinding my wetness over his length, just savoring the sensation of being so close.
He doesn’t let me tease him for long and lifts me up only to align our bodies and pull me down onto his erection, the particular pressure recognizable enough to make me gasp. Our tongues fight for control, and I hold his face, stealing every one of his moans as I bounce, the weight of the situation releasing with my movements. I just want him to fuck all our pain away. Our heartache. Now that we’re so close and the truth begins to piece our relationship back together, I just want to lose myself in this moment.
Christos rubs my clit, adding to my pleasure, and I break from his mouth and pant, moving faster. My moans come in loud bursts, and he sucks on my throat, leaving his mark. It feels so good being with him again. He was always an exceptional lover, always ensuring that I got my fill of pleasure before him.
An orgasm builds, sending electric shockwaves through my body, tensing my muscles. I gasp as I reach my peak and crash my mouth back to Christos’s, slowing down only to have him take over my movements, lifting and dropping me over and over, his thrusts turning my body into mush and lengthening my orgasm.
My knees shake from the pleasure, and I fall against him, pressing my boobs into his warm chest, lying flat with the seat completely reclined. Christos thrusts a couple more times, kissing me with so much passion that I can feel his love in every molecule of my body. He comes with a sexy moan, slowing down until we are left with just our heavy breathing and hearts beating. Then it’s just me and him together, the world feeling like it can’t reach us inside the car.
“I hope you know how hard it is for me not to make you scream like that again. I never want to leave this space. I’m afraid that if we do, it’ll be over. You’re all I’ve ever wanted, Stacia.” Christos kisses my neck, stroking his hand along my spine. “Please let this be real.”
“It’s real, Christos. You might have hurt me, but I’ve healed. You’ve proven that you’re still worthy of my love. I wish we could’ve changed things. I wish we could get these years back. Things would’ve been different, though. We would’ve continued living behind rose-colored glass, unable to see the wicked world outside of each other. Now that we know it’s there, we can face it. I’m not going to let the King’s Court destroy us. I’m going to figure out what my dad is hiding. He can’t hide the truth any longer.” I rest my head on Christos, listening to his beating heart.
“You’re right. He wants to remain in the past, and I think he knows just how powerful you can be. He’s threatened by it, and he’s not ready to give up his reign. He knows that you can easily take it, especially with me by your side. With Esteban and Talon too.” Christos tilts his head, meeting my gaze. “I’m sure that this is what it’s all about. It’s starting to make more sense.”
I should’ve known. I should’ve seen it from a mile away. My dad has been manipulating me like he has everyone else. He’s a coward. I’m going to prove as much.
His kingdom will fall.

True Executioner
I’madick.Iknew Stacia wouldn’t believe that I put a hit on her, but I had to go along with it. I can’t trust that we’re not being watched. I so blindly agreed to trust the King’s Court that I missed what was happening.
Because I’m not the only one on the account tied to that alias. I share it with Stacia’s father. We’re business partners, after all, working under one entity. He was the one to put a hit on her. He wanted me to know as well. He wouldn’t have been so obvious otherwise.
And now I have to go in and confront him. He’s called the King’s Court to his chambers. I know Stacia came to visit him, and she left in anger. The bastard thinks I’m stupid, but I heard everything. He’s twisting one hell of a lie. Stacia truly proved her loyalty to me by not telling her father that she knew about the account. Loyalty I don’t deserve. Not after blatantly making her feel as if she doesn’t know me.
And now I must deal with this aftermath. He blamed Christos, but I doubt she believes that either. Maybe she’ll finally see things as they are. Our chapter is on the verge of falling apart.
I just need to figure out why he did it. I’m not going to act stupid anymore. I’m not going to fake it until he messes up. He’s gone too far. There’s only so much I can ignore to keep the peace. He started a war.
I slip into my robe and pull my ceremonial mask down, even though we’re just gathering in the King’s chambers. The other members of our court already wait around, muttering under their breaths to each other about having to come in yet again. They obviously just like to reap the benefits of being part of our chapter without actually doing the work. They get a vote without having to do anything except pay their dues.
“It’s about time you showed up, Executioner. Where have you been?” Juan leans back in his chair, staring me down through his full-faced black mask.
“I had shit to do. Unlike you fuckers, I’m more than just a handsome face around here. I had to arrange a couple of things.” I clomp forward with my annoyance.
“How is Princess?” Kenneth asks, speaking up from behind his big desk. He damn well knows how she is. He sent her my way, though I don’t think he realizes she didn’t return to me like he probably had hoped. After all, he has some twisted plan, and we’re all about to partake in it.
“I haven’t seen Stacia since earlier today.” I cross my arms over my chest, remaining standing instead of joining everyone as they sit around, drinking alcohol from crystal tumblers, acting as if this is just us meeting for drinks.
Kenneth sits forward, locking his attention to me. He realizes something is wrong, because I heard it for myself that he wanted Stacia to come to me, and she obviously didn’t.
“What do you mean you haven’t seen her? You’re supposed to be watching her and ensuring that she follows through with her task.” A vein pops up in Kenneth’s neck, throbbing with his anger. I imagine pressing my fingers to the spot, squeezing tightly until he blacks out. Until I murder him. Because that’s how this is going to end.
“I’ve been fucking dealing with a hitman.” I step forward, enjoying the fact that Kenneth is too damn proud to stand up and face me, which allows me to loom over him.
“Which is why I have called the session in order. It has come to my attention that one of our heirs has betrayed us.” Kenneth talks over me, pulling something from a folder. He sets down an email trail and bank transfers. I’ve seen them before, on the hitman’s phone, but these have been altered.
He’s really going all out, trying to blame Christos. He thinks I’m some sort of fool.
“Christos hired a hitman to kill my legacy. But I think it goes deeper than that. He’s trying to destroy my reputation in the process. He’s taking advantage of the scandal, and I want to put a stop to it.” Kenneth raises an eyebrow, keeping his gaze trained on me as he lies through his clenched teeth.
