“Well, it worked,” Victor said. “Word on the street is he’s putting several million into your investments and another sum toward the furniture business.”

“Yeah, the money is literally pouring in now,” Devlin agreed. “Kate and I set up a trust account, and we’re putting a percentage of our earnings into it. Kate’s going to set up a new charity, and Gerri’s going to help with it.”

“So, wait, wait,” Victor said, shaking his head. “You’re suddenly the most popular guy on the planet, making ten times as much money as before, and you’ve found the perfect woman? What’s your secret?”

Devlin laughed softly. “The secret is the perfect woman,” he said. “Once I accepted what she meant to me … everything else in life just made sense and fell into place.”

“How does a simple fellow like me emulate such success?” Victor asked.

“Well, that’s easy,” Devlin said, catching the eye of a slight, pale-haired woman who was watching them from across the garden.

“You just need to contact Gerri Wilder,” Devlin finished.

Victor frowned. “Gerri Wilder?”

“You didn’t know she was a matchmaker?”

“No.”

“Well, she is. I strongly suggest you take a meeting with her.”

While Victor thought this over, Devlin caught Gerri’s eye again. She raised her glass high and winked. Devlin grinned back, waving.

She might just heal the world … one couple at a time.
