Renly had a big cabin in the woods quite far from the city. He had given us the location but was driving in his own car. He would probably be needed, considering it was his daughter who had gone crazy and gone after my mate, just because she couldn't handle that I had chosen someone else. Of course, if Arianna would not listen, then I would not hesitate to kill her. Anyone who got between me and Lara would die. Though, Arianna's crazy obsession with me could most likely also be blamed on Renly. He had raised her with the thought she would one day be mine. I just hoped he could undo what he had done before anything bad happened to Lara.

"Don't worry, we will get her back," Aaron said.

He sat beside me in the passenger seat, but I was unsure if he was talking to me or himself.

"She better not have done anything to her," I growled lowly, feeling my control slip.

I probably shouldn't be the one driving, but I didn't want the others to do it, because I would only tell them to go faster.

"She will be fine," he said.

Yet, as I glanced over at him, I could see the way his foot was tapping against the floor. I could understand he was afraid too. He had only just found out that Lara was his daughter, and he hadn't even gotten a chance to get to know her yet, or even tell her his side of the story. It seemed to me that Lara carried some resentment towards her absent father, but what she didn't know, was that he didn't even know she existed.

When we finally arrived at the cabin, it looked dark and as if it wasn't being used. We knew we had to do this fast because the sun was slowly on its way up. Ace and I could handle the sun and Aaron too, but I didn't want to be stuck in that house, because we couldn't bring Arianna with us or Renly. They couldn't handle the sun's rays without burning up.

We got out of the cars, pulling our guns, just as Renly pulled up behind us. He got out of the car, and I waved him closer. He looked so damn nervous now, probably because he knew how deep in shit he was in because of his daughter. I grabbed his arm and pushed him in front of me. He looked over his shoulder, scared.

"You go first," I told him.

He nodded once at my order and then walked ahead. It seemed quite dark inside, but as we got closer, I could see a little light shining through a window. It was being used after all ... Renly walked up to the door, looking behind him, waiting for my order.

"Knock," I said.

I wanted Arianna to show herself. I wanted her out in the open, so she could tell me what she had done to Lara. So, Renly knocked.

No answer.

"Again," I said.

He did it again, but no answer.

"Open the door."

He did, and the old wooden door creaked. It was quite big, and we could easily pass through. I used the mouth of my gun to push into his back and he stumbled forward, the floorboards creaking under his weight and soon ours, as we followed him inside.

"Call out to her," I whispered.

"Arianna," he said in a weak voice.

"Louder," Aaron growled this time.

He was on my right, and Ace was right behind me. I looked at Aaron and saw the way his eyes were shining yellow. His wolf was right at the surface, angry and wanting to tear things apart. I could feel the anger and the threatening alpha energy radiating off him and warning us all that he was on edge.

"Arianna!" Renly called louder.

It was still quiet, and we continued to walk further into the house. It consisted of two floors, but we decided to check the ground floor first.

"Stay with him," I told Ace, as Aaron and I started to split up and each check a different part of the house.

I took one of the living rooms and the big kitchen and saw the light was coming from the kitchen. Aaron took the other living room and the back of the house, but we both ended up at the entrance of the house, with no clues as to where Lara could be.

"Could she have taken her somewhere else?" I asked.

Renly thought it over. He said Arianna often liked to come here, meeting people discreetly. It seemed like her father wasn't as oblivious to the many lovers she had had over time, as she thought he was. He knew she was coming here and allowed it as long as it was done quietly, so I wouldn't find out. I couldn't care less though, and all I really cared about was finding Lara.

"I ... I'm not sure."

"Then think!" I said harshly.
