“Open it.” I repeated Kace’s words, excited for her to see what it was.
She started tearing at the paper, and made it to the small black box. Lifting the top off, her gasp was all I needed to make it through the rest of the holiday with a smile on my face.
“Cam?” She moaned. “Kace?” She drew his name out, turning to him and then back to me. The tears finally fell from her face and her hands started shaking.
I gently took the box from her hands and pulled the bracelet from where it was nestled in satin and velvet. Kace took the empty box and set it back under the tree, then took her hand and held it up for me. I clasped it onto her wrist and watched as she held each charm and looked at them closely.
“A #20,” she sniffed. “For you two.”
She grabbed the next one, a lock, and Kace explained to her. “For the one I broke when I kicked in your door.” She smiled up at him, remembering the sore memory but knowing it was vital in how we becameus.
“A cocktail glass, for the ones you spilled everywhere the night we knew we were going to fall in love with you.” She laughed as I recalled the memory of her being pushed with a tray full of drinks. I had caught her while Kace had stood in front of her to protect her. Somehow, we all began our unbreakable bond that night.
“Oh my God,” she cried, no longer laughing.
I looked down and realized she had made it to the next one and I stopped breathing, worrying what she thought.
CHAPTER11
ALI
The charm bracelet was more than I ever could have imagined. It wasn’t the kind you got from a chain store jeweler, it was the kind that came from somewhere exclusive, and probably cost more than three cars would have.
I knew they had all the money in the world and would want to get me something, but this made the gift I had been working on for them seem ridiculous.
I couldn't take my eyes off the fourth charm, and I could tell the guys were worried about what I thought.
“A diamond?”
“It's real,” Kace said quickly, fear in his voice. “Just something for the future.”
The diamond was huge. I didn't even want to guess how many carats it was. “You guys…”
Cam turned me around to face him. “We added that one because all these others represent our past, but this one,” he gently lifted it with one finger. “This one represents our future. And every time you start to overthink what we are, or think that you will ever have to choose between us, or whatever else that crazy brain of your thinks… you can look down and know that we have promised you forever.”
“And when the time comes,” Kace took over, so I turned to the sound of his voice. “We can move that diamond to a setting on your finger.”
That was impossible, because from the moment I chose them both, I knew we would be limited. But that wasn't something I wanted to mention at that moment. It was also something neither of them were ignorant to, so my words would have been wasted.
Instead, I chose to focus on how much they loved me.
“I don’t even have the right words,” I choked on more tears.
There were a few more charms and I fingered each one. One was a microphone that looked similar to the one I had in front of me the first time I spoke publicly about being with Cam and Kace. There were also grapes, noting the time we picnicked together–the day I learned their real names and who they really were. The last one was a simple silver square, but engraved were the numbers 678, representing the place we all met.
As more tears came down my cheeks, I was pulled into the air and gently moved to the middle of the couch by Kace. He backed away and Cam stood next to him, shoulder to shoulder.Their protective wall, that I always thought of when they stood like that.
We all stayed still, watching one another and waiting for the moment the tension finally snapped. They were both in jeans and t-shirts, while I was in a comfortable dress that almost met the floor when I was standing.
With their eyes on me, it reminded me of the first time we were intimate together. My apartment, my bed, as they told me to get undressed for them. I was timid, but they both helped my nerves along by undressing as well.
This time, I didn’t need the help or the push in the right direction. I knew what I wanted and more importantly, I knew what they wanted.
“Don’t move,” I whispered, my voice still too scratchy from crying to speak any louder.
As they watched on, I opened my legs and pulled my dress up to my waist, showing them my red panties and the wet spot I undoubtedly had in the middle. My breasts nearly spilled out of the dress from the thin straps, but more so when I squeezed my tits together for them.
I could see Kace’s hands starting to shake and Cam’s fist clenching and unclenching. They wanted to touch me, to help me, but they also wanted to wait for me to ask for it.
