This time, I climbed from our bath and joined her and Cam in the shower. Ali was too spent to fuck around some more, but Cam and I both had our dicks at half-mast by the time we got cleaned and exited the shower.
Ali had made her way from the bathroom first, telling us she needed to head downstairs and get water, but Cam held me back in the bathroom for a minute. He had a sour look on his face and for a second, I thought maybe he was upset about what we all had just done. But that didn’t seem likely since we both loved being with Ali, even when the other was around.
“You let her shop for a Christmas present for me?” He pushed my shoulder while I grabbed the toothpaste from the drawer.
“Ow, motherfucker,” I smirked. “She wants to do something for you and asked for my help. What did you want me to do, say no? It's her way, Cam. What Ali wants, Ali gets.”
“I just don't want her spending money on us. She gave everything she had to Mary’s cancer bills, stopped working at the bar, and hasn’t written much freelance stuff because she’s been so messed up about what happened with Alan. I just don't want her to feel any more pressure.”
“I agree.” I nodded at him through the mirror. We were both wrapped in towels, and he was standing behind me with his hands on his hips. Our eyes locked and I fought the urge to tell him Ali’s secrets. “But it's not like that. She knows you aren't going to be here and has a small gift up her sleeve. No money involved.”
“Fuck,” Cam breathed a sigh of relief. “I have been so worried about her. I hate that I had to go right back to playing football and haven’t been able to be with her as much as I need to be.”
“I’m here,” I assured him. “And when spring training starts, you will be the one here with her more. And in between those moments, we can all be together. We’ve got this. We are better together, both being with her, just like you set into motion when this all started.”
“I know.” He walked up to the second sink and got his own toothbrush ready. We stood in silence, brushing our teeth and casually glancing at each other in the mirror. I tried not to look, but my eyes went down to where his towel was tented. Even talking about Ali made us both so fucking hard.
Cam caught me looking and laughed while he spit into the sink. “I’m going in there and fucking her again. I missed her last night.”
I nodded, understanding completely. The night before games, Cam had to stay at the team hotel downtown and couldn’t be home. So Ali and I were in his bed alone, curled up and enjoying each other. He wanted that same time with her before he headed right back to practicing all week, and I couldn't say I blamed him.
“You go spend time with her,” I agreed. “I’m gonna go eat and then make good on a promise I made to her before you got home.”
Cam pulled me a little so I was facing him. “You know I don’t care if you’re with us.”
“I know,” I laughed. “But this is all part of our plan. She is going to distract you while I work on some things.”
Cam groaned, knowing I was talking about his elusive Christmas present. Then he opened the bathroom door and we both walked toward the bed. Ali walked in from the hallway with a bottle of water in her hand and stopped dead in her tracks.
“You okay?” I tilted my head and asked her, while also looking around at what had her startled.
“I still have to pinch myself when you are both standing naked in front of me.”
Cam had dropped his towel and was climbing into bed while I pulled some shorts on and walked toward Ali, who was still in the doorway. “Can you distract him for me? I’m going to make sure thatthingis done.”
I kissed her nose instead of her mouth just so I didn’t ruin her bright and beautiful smile. She let me pass her and I shut the door as I headed downstairs, letting them catch up while I took care of business.
CHAPTER4
ALI
“Imade the rest of the calls today,” Kace said as he handed me a cup of coffee.
“I love you,” I sighed, although I wasn’t sure if I was talking to Kace or the coffee. We had spent another day at Cam’s house before driving back into the city where Kace and I both lived. Kace checked in at his place before we walked across the park to mine. It was cold out, and all I wanted was a cup of coffee on my couch.
“Cam just texted me and said he was leaving practice early, so he should be here soon.”
I took a sip of the coffee he had made for me and then turned my head in his direction. “My dad wants us to come visit for a Christmas dinner. I told him I would definitely go, but I wasn’t sure if you and Cam would want to.”
“Fuck yeah, we want to go.”
My dad had been all too accepting of my two-boyfriend situation, but I’m not sure he realized it wasn’t two individual relationships. The three of us were one whole relationship, and I guess Christmas dinner seemed like a good time to tell him that.
“Mary will be there,” I added. “She has been staying at Dad’s a lot.”
Kace smiled over his own coffee and waggled his eyebrows. “I bet she has.”
“Ugh,” I threw a pillow at him, and he batted it down, laughing. “I do not want to think of my dad and Mary like that.”
