“Surprise.” He winks. “I flew in this morning.”

“This morning?” I ask as he guides me to sit back down in my chair. I had completely forgotten that we were in a restaurant full of people.

I watch as he pulls out the chair next to me. The veins in his hands are thick as he grips the back of the chair. It makes my mouth water, and just like that, I am no longer hungry anymore. Well, for food anyway. I can only think of those hands roaming my body while Trent devours me.

“Don’t worry, Fal, they’ll be plenty of room for dessert.” Trent taps the menu with a smirk. “For now, let’s focus on dinner.”

I give him my best pouty face. The fact that he reads me so well says a lot. He’s always been able to read my thoughts, even when I didn’t think he noticed me at all.

The server comes back returns with my drink and asks Trent what he would like before leaving us alone again. It dawns on me; his parents are still not here.

“Wait, what about your parents? They should be here by now.”

Trent laughs while I glance around looking for them. A smirk forms on his face when I bring my attention back to him.

“What’s so funny?”

“Nothing, they will not be joining us tonight.”

“What?! Were they in on this?”

Trent nods like he just pulled off the world’s greatest prank. Ass.

“But it’s Christmas Eve.”

“Yeah, and I’ve been away from you. I wanted time with you alone. We’ll see them tomorrow.”

I pull him by the collar of his shirt. The urge to kiss him is strong. The second our lips connect, everything else falls away. The chatter, the sound of glasses clinking. Nothing else matters.

Trent is here.

All too soon, I feel Trent pulling back. He grabs my hand, bringing it over to his lap, rubbing it over his erection.

“If you keep it up, we will not make it through dinner. I prefer you to eat something so you have energy for all I have planned later.”

Hot damn.

His words alone have me squeezing my thighs together while I gape at him in shock.

“See, look. I got you all hot and bothered. Now, let’s order.”

As if he didn’t just have me rubbing his hard-on, he winks once and waves his hand, getting the server’s attention.

“I’m on the first floor,” I say as we walk through the entrance of the resort.

“I know.”

“Huh? How do you know?”

With his hand on my lower back, he guides me through the lobby toward the rooms. “I told you, I arrived this morning. I watched you lay out by the beach and then head in.”

“Oh my god! And you never came down?”

“Believe me, I wanted to. I wanted to march my ass out on that beach to cover you and that skimpy bikini right up so no one could look at my girl.”

I swat at Trent, shaking my head. “You never cared before about my swim attire.” We’ve spent years in his parent’s pool. Numerous pool parties. Back then, though, he never even looked my way.

When I pull my key card out, Trent snatches and opens the door. He drags me in quickly before I can even get my feet to move, nearly causing me to trip. He shuts the door in a rush, locking it. He turns around and looks at me with a heated stare. I feel his dark eyes undressing me. The fact that he wants me so bad has me reaching behind to unzip my dress.
