Micah and Kane sit down quickly and Judas goes pale. “What condition? What’s wrong with her?”
“She’s pregnant. I’m assuming one of you fellows is the lucky daddy.”
All three of us stand up, staring at each other. Then we laugh and race to her side. “Baby, you’re having a baby.”
She groans. “I heard. Thank you. But just let me sleep until it’s born. I’m so tired.”
“You’re going to have that. Especially early on in the pregnancy. I want you to rest for at least a couple of weeks until the medication hopefully gets to working and your body settles down.” He hands me some paperwork and grins. “Congratulations to all of you. Have a good night.”
Then he leaves the room and I’m left holding papers and a prescription, feeling shell-shocked.
“Are you guys happy?” I ask, fingers twisting in my lap as I sit up.
“So fucking happy,” Micah grumbles. “I can’t wait to decorate the nursery. I hope we have a little girl that looks just like her pretty mama.”
“Let’s get Devin home,” Kane smiles and helps me down from the table.
Each of them flutter around me, helping me into my coat. We reach the car out front and I slip into the seat, sighing in relief. I’m just so damn tired.
Judas slips out into traffic and Kane and Micah wave at me from out the window before they each grab their own cars.
I stumble up the steps to the brownstone until Judas picks me up again.
“You can’t carry me everywhere,” I sigh, leaning into his big body. I feel dainty and tiny in his arms. Helpless and yet so protected.
“I can and I will. Just you wait. Now let’s get you a bath and settled in bed. Maybe some soup.”
I nod my head, just wanting to sleep.
All three of my men carefully undress me and settle me in the bath and then Kane goes downstairs to make me some dinner. The other two stand over me in the tub. I crack an eyelid. “Are you two planning on just standing over me all night?”
“You can’t stay in the tub alone. What happens if you fall asleep in here? You could drown.”
I shake my head but don’t bother arguing. It’s no use.
Micah grabs my sponge and pours my scented body wash on it, frothing it before he carefully washes my body then rinses it. I moan happily.
“You guys are going to spoil me.”
“You deserve it.”
I’m pampered and taken care of all night until they tuck me into bed. All three of them crowd around me, touching my belly gently.
“Are you happy, princess?” Micah whispers.
I smile, tears starting in my eyes. “I’ve never been so happy. If only my stomach would stop spinning.”
“Judas will pick up your medicine tomorrow. We’ll have you right as rain in no time.”
“I think it’s a good thing that they fired you right now. Because the last thing you need to be is around a bunch of little kids.”
My lips twist. “I’m pregnant with one.”
“That one’s ours. It’s special.”
“Just rest.” My eyes close and Judas runs his hand over my belly. “Hello in there, little one. I can’t wait to meet you.”
Micah leans down and presses his lips gently to my belly and tears slowly dribble down my cheeks. I’ve loved all of these men but I’ve loved Micah the longest and the longing and love on his face when his lips touch my belly almost breaks my heart. Kane smiles gently and his lips press into my forehead.
