Snow got out her equipment and started setting up.

“Wait. Don’t do that yet. I haven’t finished setting the scene.”

Snow sat back on her heels while Amanda filled in snow with a loud, noisy machine. She didn’t see why she couldn’t set up while Amanda did that. Amanda seemed overly bossy and rude.

Why, then, did Snow find her attractive? Amanda Asher was tall and classically beautiful with high cheekbones and eyes that were full of intensity and depth. Snow struggled to place Amanda’s age, she didn’t look that much older than Snow’s own thirty five years, but Snow noticed the fine lines in the corners of her eyes and the hint of grey hair at her temples and thought perhaps Amanda was about fifty. And still, so very beautiful.

God, I’d love to photograph her. Her face is mesmerising. If only she wasn’t such an ass!

“Well, what are you waiting for? Set up your camera! These photos aren’t going to take themselves, you know.”

Snow resisted the urge to roll her eyes. She should be thinking resentful thoughts about Amanda right now, not wondering what it would feel like to have Amanda order her to strip down. She definitely shouldn’t be imagining Amanda pinning her to one of those Christmas trees and thoroughly ravishing her.

Snow felt herself blushing as she set up her equipment. She needed to focus on the job at hand and save her naughty fantasies for later. Amanda tapped her foot as Snow worked, looking determinedly away from her.

Snow didn’t know why Amanda seemed to have such an instant problem with her, but at least Amanda wouldn’t see her blushing if she didn’t even look at her.

Snow started snapping shots of the trees. The fake snow made them look so beautiful. Snow loved nothing more than capturing pure beauty. If she could afford it, she would even have offered to do this photoshoot for free. Taking these pictures was a reward in and of itself.

She glanced at Amanda out of the corner of her eye. Amanda was wearing a thick red jacket that hugged her curves and dark brown pants. The outfit was perfect on her, making her look both distinguished and sexy at the same time.

Snow looked again at the trees she was photographing. Amanda would look amazing in these photos. Snow wondered if she could convince Amanda of that.

“Take some of individual trees, too. No, not that one! That one is limp, can’t you see? This one is much better. Yes, that’s right. These are for greeting cards and I want some with just one tree, so make sure you don’t get any of the others in the background.”

“I’m also selling greeting cards this season,” Snow said brightly, trying to make conversation.

Amanda gave her a withering look. “How lovely,” she practically snarled.

Snow couldn’t help backing up a step at the venom in Amanda’s eyes. What was wrong with this woman? Good thing she was so striking to look at, because her stellar personality certainly wasn’t going to win her any dates.

Snow took a few more pictures before deciding to put her idea to Amanda.

“I was thinking… maybe you could be in some of the photos.”

“What? No, that’s not what I brought you here for. This isn’t a vanity shoot. These are for my greeting cards.”

“I really think it will add to them, honestly. It would give the cards a more personal feel. You have exactly the right look.”

Amanda hesitated, her fierce expression faltering. “I don’t know…”

“Just let me try? Please? If you don’t like the shots, you can delete them afterward.”

“I… alright, but just a few photos. Then get back to what I hired you for.”

“Of course.” Snow beamed as she gestured for Amanda to move into the line of her lens. “If you stand there and clasp your hands in front of you. Perfect. Now tilt your head just a bit to the—yes, that’s right. Can you let your hair down?”

Amanda pulled the hair tie out of her long brunette hair and shook it out. Her hair was just as lovely as Snow had imagined it might be for the photos, long and wavy and shiny and not too perfectly ‘done.’

It was clear that Amanda was no novice when it came to lining up a good shot. She positioned herself perfectly and Snow snapped picture after picture.

God, she’s a natural. Her face just looks so striking in the light. Those high cheekbones, those full lips, those lovely dark green eyes that match the green of the Christmas trees exactly.

“Now maybe you can sit in front of the tree? There, perfect.”

Snow took a few more shots before hesitantly coming forward. “I want to put a bit of the snow on you, to make it look like you’ve been sitting outside for a while. Is that okay?”

“Fine, just get on with it.”
