Yeah, that would be great! Tomorrow?

Snow breathed a sigh of relief. So, she wasn’t being too forward, then.

Tomorrow is perfect. Do you have a place in mind?

How about Tanner’s, down the road from my house?

Tanner’s was fancier than the kinds of places Snow usually went to, but she wasn’t worried. She still had Amanda’s large tip, and she would soon have half of the profits from the Christmas cards. She couldn’t believe Amanda was being so kind and generous.

Amanda had made a horrible first impression, but her recent actions had more than made up for it. Snow was so glad that she knew her and got the chance to work for with her.

Tanner’s is perfect. Shall we say at three?

Three is great. I’ll see you then.

See you, Amanda.

Snow expected that to be the end of their exchange, but a moment later, her phone pinged again.

I keep thinking of you when I see the snow. You’re more beautiful, though.

Snow found herself blushing and was glad that she was alone in the room.I don’t know about that. I fear I’m no match for that automated snow machine you have.

I wouldn’t mind comparing sometime… though to be fair, the snow machine isn’t wearing clothes, so I’m not sure I would be able to make an accurate comparison.

Snow giggled.

Is that you way of trying to get me naked?

I confess nothing…

I wonder what kind of things you might confess, if I got you flustered enough?

That wouldn’t be difficult.

That was news to Snow. Amanda always seemed so cool and collected, Snow never would have guessed that Amanda was just as affected by her presence as Snow was by hers.

They flirted back and forth for a bit through Whatsapp. Snow could barely believe this was happening. She never would have thought that someone like Amanda would be interested in her in this way, but Amanda was making it clear that she was.

The kiss hadn’t just been about shutting Snow up, then. Amanda really liked her. The long chat they had had over tea after the photoshoot should have proven that, but Snow had still been uncertain. Now, she wasn’t anymore.

She wondered if their upcoming celebration tomorrow counted as a date. She hoped so.

Snow dressed carefully the next day. She wasn’t sure if this was a date or not, but regardless, she wanted to look good for Amanda.

When she arrived at Tanner’s, Amanda was looking stunning, as always, with her hair done up in an elegant knot on the top of her head, in a pair of tight red pants with a dark green top that matched her eyes. She looked very Christmasy and was the picture of pure sexiness.

Snow sat down opposite her, feeling slightly breathless. “Hi.”

“Hi, Snow. How are you?”

“I’m good! I’ve had a lot of work to do recently, what with my cards and people who heard about the award wanting to hire me for photoshoots.”

“I suppose I should be grateful that I wasn’t put on a waiting list.”

“I do have a waiting list,” Snow admitted. “I know the boss, though. I managed to pull some strings with her.”

Amanda chuckled. “Glad to hear I’m in good standing with her.”
