Though, by all rights, Amanda shouldn’t have enjoyed what had happened, the argument had excited her, both mentally and physically.

When she’d first met Snow, she had thought her to be one of those people who just lets everyone walk all over them because they don’t like confrontation. She had thought it would be easy to get one over on Snow.

She still suspected that Snow didn’t like confrontation, but clearly, she could be pushed into it.

As much as she wanted to hate her, Amanda couldn’t help but feel a grudging respect for Snow. She knew that she wasn’t an easy person to stand up to, and yet Snow had done it in a most spectacular fashion.

Amanda wanted to fix this. She truly hadn’t been fair to Snow and owed her an apology. She put on a jacket and closed the door behind her as she went out among the fir trees. She had seen Snow disappearing somewhere off this way.

It was interesting that Snow hadn’t left the property, as she easily could have. Of course, it could just be a coincidence. Snow was angry and might well have stormed off in no particular direction, landing up among the Christmas trees by chance.

Still, Amanda couldn’t help but wonder if Snow hadn’t left for a reason. Maybe the argument had excited her as much as it had Amanda. Perhaps she was hoping it would continue.

Amanda had no intention of arguing further, however arousing the idea may be. She was going to apologize and promise to credit Snow in the photos. She knew she was in the wrong and it was time to stop being an ass about it.

Snow wasn’t hard to find. She hadn’t wandered far and was sitting with her back to one of the trees near the house. When Amanda approached, she leapt to her feet, glaring.

Amanda held her hands up in surrender. “I’m not here to fight. I just want to talk.”

“There’s nothing left to talk about,” Snow spat.

“Yes, there is. I owe you an apology.”

That brought Snow up short. “Yes, you do,” she said stiffly.

“I’m sorry, Snow. I should never have posted those photos without crediting you. I own them, according to the agreement I signed, but according to the same agreement, I should have listed you as the photographer.”

“And why didn’t you? It’s not my fault that my cards are getting more attention than yours, you know.”

Snow looked so beautiful when she was angry. Her blonde hair was wild and messy and her blue eyes flashed dangerously. Amanda was already throbbing with desire and being with Snow was making that situation worse by the moment. She hadn’t been this attracted to anyone since she first met Nicole.

Amanda’s body reacted before her mind gave permission. She stepped forward and captured Snow’s lips in a passionate kiss. Snow made a small squeak of surprise but didn’t pull away. She hesitated for only a moment before she was kissing Amanda back.

Amanda ran her tongue over the seam of Snow’s lips and Snow opened for her. Their tongues danced together, sending sparks of desire throughout Amanda’s body.

She finally pulled away for air, panting. Snow’s cheeks were flushed and her pupils dilated.

Amanda wanted to kiss her again, but before she could, Snow stumbled back. “I—I should go.”

“I’ll credit you!” Amanda promised to Snow’s retreating back. “And whatever else you want. I can even cut you in on the profits.”

Snow didn’t turn or acknowledge Amanda’s offer. Amanda stared after her, wondering what in the world had come over her.

Snow was far from her usual type. Amanda usually went for women closer to her own age. She preferred glamourous, femme women. Smart professional women were Amanda’s type… weren’t they?

Snow’s simple style was far from glamorous, and Amanda wouldn’t say she was overtly femme, either. Snow was naturally beautiful, yet in every way, she was unpolished and it suited her.

Amanda had been so attracted to Snow that she hadn’t been able to control herself. And Amanda usually prided herself on her self control.

After a few minutes, she pulled herself together enough to go back into the house. She immediately sat down at her computer and went to her Facebook page. She typed comments in every single photo, crediting Snow and commenting on what an amazing job she had done. Once she was finished with Facebook, Amanda did the same thing on her website.

Satisfied that she had finally done right by Snow, Amanda let her hand fall off the mouse as she lapsed into thought.

She was attracted to Snow; she had known that from the first moment Snow walked in here. Before today, she had had no emotions toward Snow except anger and resentment.

Now, things were different. Anger had been replaced with grudging respect, and Amanda wondered if there might be something more for her and Snow in the future.

Of course, Snow probably hated her now, and with good reason. Amanda wondered if Snow might take her up on her idea to share some of the profits. Amanda didn’t need the money, and it would be a good excuse to spend more time with Snow, to explore what might be between them.
