I rolled my eyes and stepped to the side, allowing them to come into the room. Though I was exceptionally angry with the constant interruption into my bath time, it was made only slightly better by the men’s expressions as they took me in.
But only a little.

As we headed back toward the resort, more especially to Cassidy’s room, I formulated a plan that would ensure I would be the one who would win Cassidy’s heart. No offense to my friends, of whom I would die to protect. They were my brothers in arms, and they meant a lot to me. But when it came to Cassidy, I refused to lose. There was no other option.
And I was sure my brothers were doing the same thing I was. Because we had all fallen in love with the same woman. And I knew them well enough to know once they had set their sights on something they wanted, there was little to dissuade them from it.
As we drew closer, Steele sent Cassidy a text, making sure she was back in the room. But after a few minutes and not receiving a response, we ran the rest of the way.
“Tell me again, why you decided to let her go alone?” I asked Steele. I was trying hard to keep the accusation from my voice, but it was no use. It was plain to see I blamed him for this. And if anything were to have happened to her because of it, I was going to make damn sure he never lived this down. Not to mention our friendship would be over.
“She was supposed to stay at that woman’s place,” he grumbled out.
“Yeah?” I snapped. “Well, she didn’t.”
“How the hell was I supposed to know she wasn’t going to stay there?” Steele snapped.
“Are we really surprised a woman like her didn’t listen,” Dallas said.
“Not really,” Steele said and pointedly glared at me.
“Whatever,” I muttered. “Let’s just get there and hope she’s okay.”
Within minutes, we arrived at the room. I tapped my knuckle on the door and listened in as Dallas and Steele stood next to me. The sound of music barely filtered through the door, but that was enough of a sign to let me know she was inside. But even then, my nerves weren’t settled.
I nodded at the other two. “She’s definitely in there.”
“So why didn’t she answer our text?” Dallas mused.
“Only one way to find out,” Steele said and knocked louder.
Dallas and I joined in.
“Go away!” Cassidy shouted.
I frowned. “I’m guessing she had a falling out with that friend of hers.”
Steele glared at me as his fingers dashed along the screen of his phone, sending Cassidy another message. Dallas and I knocked again.
“No! Go away!” Cassidy’s voice filtered through the door again, this time with more agitation.
We each shared a glance.
“What did you say to her?” I asked.
“I asked her to let us in,” Steele said.
Dallas smirked. “You guys thinking what I’m thinking?”
All at once, we knocked on the door.
I wasn’t sure, but I thought I heard her growl. The music stopped, and seconds later, the door opened revealing a very sudsy, naked Cassidy who held a towel over her body that did little to stave off the imagination.
Her bright blue eyes had darkened to a deep sapphire color.
